Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training. If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons' policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.

Compensation:

This position is also eligible for a $1000 hiring incentive to be paid after 100 days of employment.

JOB SUMMARY

Maintains a therapeutic learning environment using TCI techniques and trauma-informed practices.
Performs PLATO entries/class grouping.
Any other duty as requested by the AELC Principal and/or Residential Director.
Secondary Function - Direct Care Worker
Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to adolescent youth.
Model and encourage positive attitudes and behaviors.
Help teach social and independent living life skills, including coping mechanisms.
Ensure the safety of every youth.
Prepare healthy meals if needed.
Provide routine and structure in a home environment.
Help youth develop healthy relationships with family and friends.
Perform and supervise household chores as needed.
Supervise and assist with homework and school activities.
Assist youth in achieving their program plan and permanency goals.
Plan and supervise social events and activities.
Encourage the spiritual growth of each resident.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.
