Presco was established as a Connecticut corporation in 1978, with the goal of providing engineering, research, and development services to the local industry.
Fast forward to 1980 and Waymon McMackin, Earl’s son, is now the President of Presco.
In the 1980’s, Presco expanded its facilities to include a modern electronics laboratory with high speed oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, microprocessor emulation stations and CAD support.
In 1981, Presco landed their first Engineered Film customer.
The plantation is in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State at km 22 on the Benin City-Sapele Road, south of Benin City. nv Siat sa became involved in Presco in 1991, at which time there were 2,700 hectares planted at Obaretin Estate.
Under Siat’s management, a new expansion programme commenced from 1993 and an additional 3,000 hectares was planted at Obaretin Estate.
Presco AG was founded in 1995 by engineers specialised in and dedicated to insulation test technologies.
In 1996 Presco acquired the 2,780 hectare Cowan Estate at Ajagbodudu, Delta State, from the Delta State Government-owned Oil Palm Company Ltd.
In 2002, Presco acquired 6,000 hectares from Edo state government and another 1,500 hectares from other parties making a total of 7,500 hectares in the Ologbo Estate.
Doctor Stephen A. Hutcheson has served as Technical Director at Presco since 2014.
In 2014, he went back to his industrial foundation, when he joined Presco.
Stephen Janak joined Presco’s Research and Development team in 2017 as a Chemical Engineer.
John Yianitsas joined the Presco team in 2019 as the Vice President of New Business Development.
The total planted area at 30th April, 2021 is 5,408 hectares.-
