Purpose
CENTEGIX is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Field Operations to lead and scale our national installation, maintenance, and professional services organization. This executive will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for all field-related services delivered through a blended model of certified installation partners, reseller partners, and internal field service technicians.
As we continue to expand our Safety Platform across K-12, higher education, healthcare, and public-sector environments, this leader will architect a high-performing, data-driven operating model that ensures consistent quality, predictable delivery, and exceptional customer outcomes at national scale.
The VP will shape program frameworks, partner ecosystems, operational excellence, and compliance programs while aligning Field Operations tightly with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Supply Chain, and Finance. The ideal candidate is a strategic builder who has successfully led multi-state or national field organizations within a high-growth IoT, SaaS+HaaS, or mission-critical systems environment.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and own the national Field Operations strategy that balances service excellence, cost efficiency, scalability, and profitability across all delivery motions.
Establish a long-term vision for field installation, maintenance, professional services, and partner-delivered services, ensuring capacity planning and organizational design aligned with company growth.
Use field insights to influence product roadmap, installation standards, supply chain planning, and customer success initiatives.
Evaluate and prioritize new markets, verticals, and partner models to expand delivery capacity.
Operational Excellence and Program Architecture:
Build and standardize repeatable operating frameworks for installation, maintenance, break/fix response, site-readiness workflows, commissioning, and professional service delivery.
Architect a holistic Partner Enablement Program, including certification, recertification, training pathways, audit processes, quality assurance, and performance tiers.
Develop and scale a Professional Services organization that includes asset tagging, visitor management installation, and emerging service lines.
Implement standardized SLA/OLA commitments across internal teams and partners to ensure consistent delivery performance and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline workflows, reduce operational costs, and improve quality of service across the full field lifecycle.
Field Team and Partner Leadership:
Lead, hire, develop, and inspire regional field managers, internal technicians, and cross-functional professional services team members.
Establish a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, customer advocacy, and operational rigor.
Design and execute partner performance governance-including scorecards, audits, quality monitoring, and consequences for non-compliance.
Develop a scalable training and certification ecosystem ensuring all technicians (internal and partner) maintain CENTEGIX standards for safety, quality, and customer interaction.
Execution and Operational Oversight:
Oversee national field operations, ensuring predictable installation timelines, high first-time-right performance, and consistent customer experience.
Direct day-to-day partner management, including scheduling coordination, capacity planning, escalations, compliance, and subcontractor governance.
Own field readiness activities related to large-scale deployments, rapid rollout programs, and multi-site customer engagements.
Develop and implement operational dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven reporting to measure service quality, capacity utilization, install velocity, partner productivity, and cost-to-serve.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and customer-specific operational requirements (licensing, labor, certifications, school district policies, etc.).
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with Product to influence tool design, installation workflows, and hardware/firmware improvements that improve serviceability.
Collaborate with Sales and Sales Engineering to support scoping, proposals, partner selection, and customer onboarding planning.
Align with Customer Success on customer experience metrics, activation readiness, proactive maintenance programs, and post-install support handoffs.
Work with Supply Chain on logistics planning, staging processes, RMA and spare-parts programs, and inventory forecasting tied to field demand.
Financial and Vendor Management:
Own Field Operations budgeting, including forecasting, labor planning, T&E policies, margin optimization, and partner cost modeling.
Negotiate, manage, and optimize relationships with installation partners, subcontractors, and certified vendors to ensure performance, cost control, and contractual compliance.
Execute capacity modeling and cost-to-serve analysis that informs hiring plans, partner expansion, and pricing strategy.
Requirements
10-15+ years leading national or multi-state field operations within IoT, telecommunications, physical security, life safety, or mission-critical hardware/software environments.
Experience scaling field organizations within a high-growth or HaaS model strongly preferred.
Proven success building partner ecosystems or contractor networks-including certification programs, QA, and structured governance.
Deep operational leadership experience with installation, professional services, maintenance, SLAs, and break/fix service models.
Strong financial acumen, including cost modeling, budgeting, margin management, and vendor negotiation.
Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-growth environment and create clarity, structure, and repeatable processes.
