Duties & Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
-Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
-Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
-Positions stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
-Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
-Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
-Measures work piece dimensions, using rule, template, or other measuring instruments to determine accuracy of machine operation.
-Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece, using file, hand grinder, or wire brush.
-Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
-Assists machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces.
-May rivet and spot-weld work pieces.

Position Summary:
Press brake operators produce parts from metals and plastics using computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment that will make precision bends according to blueprints. Operators will make set-ups, adjustments to speeds, material thickness, appropriate tonnage, and tooling for each part being formed. They will make sure that the machine is working well on full capacity, is well-maintained, and producing quality products making periodic checks on formed parts; to ensure the product is ready for the next operation.
Skilled Press Brake Operator Requirements.
- Experience operating CNC machines
- Experience operating Press Brakes a plus
- Knowledge of blueprint reading highly desired
- Perform inspections using calipers, protractors and measuring angles
- Ability to use a computer
- Mechanical and technical skills
- Inspect and maintain equipment with safety requirements
- Capable of doing repetitive movements
- At least 3 years of experience in Fabrication
- Daily standing position and lifting variety of parts, sizes and weights. (Up to 50 lbs)
Shift:
- 2nd – Monday through Friday – 4:00 pm – 12:30 am (Daily OT available at manager's discretion)
