Hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts! Differential pay offered for 3rd shift.
Specific Responsibilities:
· This position reports to and is responsible to the Printing Department Manager. Performs other duties as assigned by the Printing Department Manager.
· Responsible for following all safety procedures as prescribed by Everett Graphics, Inc.
· Ensure the following actions are taken with regard to safety:
o Personal
o Clothing
o Machinery
· Identifying in a proactive manner possible safety issues and taking actions to prevent problems and accidents.
· Responsible for the quality control points within the scope of their position at Everett Graphics, Inc.
· Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality related problems to a member of the supervision or management team.
· Maintains work areas throughout the shift to GHP Standards.
· Demonstrates the desire to hold positions of increasing responsibility through conduct of personal self, internal training and achieving the highest skill level.
· Follow Press Safety Rules
· Make-Ready Duties
o Check board dimensions and thickness (caliper)
o Load board for job and set feeder up accordingly
o Change coating per job specifications as needed
o Verify and record coating viscosity using #3 Zahn Cup
o Assist in cleaning coating chamber for next job coating if needed
o Assist in installing printing plates and coating blanket(s)
o Check Side Guide Registration
o Check and record conductivity of fountain solution. Alert Lead Press Operator if out of spec.
· Run Duties
o Operate Feeder for continuous Running
o Continually check Side Guide Alignment
o Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Line Clearance Duties
o Count and record feeder waste sheets
o Remove scrap board from press to waste
o Assist in removing inks from fountains
o Assist in washing ink fountains and ink knives
o Assist in washing rollers and blankets (when manual wash)
o Assist in removing printing plates and coating blanket(s)
· In the Printing Press Feeder absence, the 2nd Press Operator will accept the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications

2-3 years printing press experience

Quad is currently seeking a 2 nd Shift Large Format Sheetfed Press Feeder to work in our In-Store facility on Glendale Drive in New Berlin. Press Feeder is responsible for set up and operation of large format litho press infeed.
Job duties include, but are not limited to :
Setup and operation of press feeder
Assisting press operators
General housekeeping and maintenance of the press
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
Strong Math skills and knowledge of simple computer operations.
Ability to read, interpret and process written job instructions including those dealing with dimensions and quantity.
Prior press feeder experience, especially large format printing.
UV print experience.
Familiarity with running heavy board, plastics and other unusual substrates.
Mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
Must have some understanding of color and the ability to pass a Color Test.
Experience with forklift operation and/or other material handling equipment a plus.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, walking, standing, stooping, pulling and pushing with or without reasonable accommodations.
Hiring for 2 nd Shift. 8 hours - 2:30pm -10:30pm Monday - Friday. Overtime and weekends as required.

Pay Rate: $18.00SUMMARY Assists press operators in the setup, maintenance and operation of a printing press.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assists operators in running presses and other pressroom equipment.
Expectations: Works efficiently and follows instructions and procedures.
Assists in set-up of machines for operators setup feeder, set water rollers, fill water tanks and coating drums, fill ink fountains.
Expectations: Insures all checklist items are completed prior to running a job.
Carries out assigned duties in a courteous and professional manner.
Expectations: Works well with operator, acts in a professional manner toward employees and visitors.
Helps coordinate production jobs.
Expectations: Plans next job with press operator gathers ink, paper and other materials as needed.
