What Does A Press Loader Do At Armstrong Flooring Inc.

* Assist Press Operator in loading wood panels into press.
* Maintain accurate records for press off-loaded materials.
* Perform the responsibilities of Press Operator in his/her absence.
* Watch for blows in the press and report to the Press Operator for actions.
* Keep blanks stacked neatly on pallets.
* Assist Forklift Driver by off offloading and staging plywood panels.
* Once the pallet has offloaded from the press, take the top panel on the loader side and place it back onto the off-loading table for the next stack.
* Complete the accounting load tickets accurately and affix to the next pallet in line, as needed.
* Clean press area of excess glue and waste material as appropriate.
* Perform quality checks for plywood bond and document on provided checklist.
* Lifting requirement not to exceed 50 pounds.
* Follow all JSAs, safety policies, and procedures.
* Maintain 5S / housekeeping at all times.
* Obtain Lock
* Out
* Tag
* Out (LOTO) License and always use LOTO procedures when conducting maintenance or PMs as directed by the Press Operator.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Lead person and /or Supervisor
