ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Operates Amada turret punch press.
• Loads and unloads tools, operates the machine control, maintenance of the machine, deburring parts while in production, performing secondary operations on punched parts.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High school level education or equivalent and specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
• Requires basic knowledge of procedures and a mechanic aptitude.
• Experience with turret press a plus

Responsibilities

CNC Turret Punch Press Operator with experience running machines, making minor program alterations, managing tools and running production while maintaining quality standards. The immediate opening is for 40+ hours per week. Candidate must pass drug test.

Essential Functions / Duties

* Preform tool changes according to tooling setup sheet.
* Able to set-up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters
* Knowledge of selecting proper die clearances based on material requirements.
* Preform secondary operation on punched parts when needed while machine is running.
* Requires fast paced environment work with frequently changing priorities.
* Basic ability to read Shop Drawings, math skills and process information and record all data.
* Perform both visual and dimensional inspections to quality standards.
* Good oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate, read and comprehend information effectively.
* Great level of attention and detail is required for quality standards.
* Follow proper procedures and instructions to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in metal fabrication, CNC experience preferred
* Must be safety conscious with good housekeeping skills
* High School Diploma or GED, high aptitude with math
* 1-5 years' experience as Turret Punch Press Operator
* Ability to work well with others
* Ability to stand for 8 - 10 hours
* Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
* Ability to use measurement instruments, and to read and understand blueprints required Computer skills preferred
* Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with quality assurance personnel

LAN - Shift 3 ($. 50) (United States of America - Michigan)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Machine Operator, Forging Press is responsible for operating the press to form products using billets and die blocks according to established standard work for production purposes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Complete all DHR documents
• Trouble shoot/problem solve die issues
• Produce parts to manufacturing or customer prints with minimal supervision.
• Identify visual and dimensional defects.
• Complete dimensional inspection, first piece layout and all IPIS inspections.
• Understanding of water to graphite ratio.
• Set up of press within stated time.
• Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift per the 6S schedule
• Monitor machines for irregularities
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Or Equivalent preferred

• 1+ Year of Prior Relevant Experience preferred
