JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time Machine Operator experienced or willing to learn our business. This position is responsible for operating or assisting in a direct mail manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost related errors, exceeding client expectation, and driving a safe workplace. Print and change stencil
Set up and run the machine
Clean carton printer, loading device, and machine
Lift cardboard boxes to/from stacking device

Remove Scrap cardboard to recycling compress on dock
Make the proper IQA and other entries as required
Trouble shoot and analyze as needed

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of fabrication machines (Brake Press, Lasers, Drills, Saws) in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOP) and guidelines. Fabricators must have the ability to understand blueprints to fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using the appropriate machine and process. Performs designated maintenance functions, assumes ownership for quality, participates in training, performs daily 5S activities, works as a team, and maintains all safety standards.

In a Nutshell:
Laddawn has manufacturing facilities located from coast to coast, which allows us to rapidly ship to our customers no matter where they are located. You'll help us inspect and package finished product that wows our customers.
What you'll be doing:
· Packaging bags/rolls into boxes, weighing the boxes, and keeping accurate counts in the computer system.
· Performing quality control checks on product and ensuring that all products are properly labeled with a Q.C. sticker before stacking finished product.
· Keeping the work area clean and clutter free: picking up scrap materials around the production lines and cutting scrap off cores.
· Alerting Setup Technicians or Changeover Technicians using the light system to keep them informed of production status.
Scheduling
Production workers are scheduled 12 hours per day, 4 days per week, and work every other weekend.
Day shift is scheduled from 7am-7pm. Night shift is scheduled from 7pm-7am.

Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams).
Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces.
Install signs at customer locations as directed.

Successful candidates must have mechanical ability and accurate math and measurement skills. **Responsibilities**
+ Work with the line team to meet the daily production.
+ Will be required to do first piece inspection during the 1st hour of the day at their assigned station.
+ Meet daily production schedule.
+ Fill out necessary documentation
+ Must be able to understand and communicate with all employees to receive training instruction and perform responsibilities.
+ Must learn to follow quality control specs and procedures. Maintain accurate and timely SPC charts.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Perform testing as required.
+ Perform weekly preventive maintenance on machine
+ Will be exposed to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other hazards.
+ Must comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and co-workers.

**Qualifications**
Physical Requirements:
+ Continuous standing, lifting, bending, and twisting

+ Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes, hearing protection, etc., as outlined in established department PPE policy.
+ Must be able to do some heavy lifting.
Equipment Used:
+ Small hand tools, control panels, data collection equipment.
+ Molds for heat seal machine and small hand tools, control panels, data collection equipment.
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
+ Mechanical aptitude required.
+ Previous manufacturing experience helpful.
+ Computer literate.
+ Must achieve passing score on pre-employment assessment
+ GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations
Knowledge of production techniques and have the ability to produce quality-building parts
Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment
Ability to operate computerized equipment and material handling equipment
Perform routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation
Mark part number, order number, number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customer to have the ability to locate correct parts
Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area
Repetitive material handling. Some in awkward body positioning
Repetitive climbing on and off of equipment and ladders
Varying and extreme working conditions inside and outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum of 3 years' experience in high production manufacturing environment
