Perform any area inspections and/or preventative maintenance needed daily (or as scheduled). Report labor tracking for group daily. Maintains setup charts for all sets of roll form tooling. Performs tooling setup and line changeover on roll form machine to produce roll form cross sections to print specifications. Performs setup/equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain dimensional tolerances of cross sections being produced.     Digital Building Components, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a Roll Form Operator who will be responsible for setup, operation, maintenance, and quality of production for our roll forming line. The Roll Form Operator uses a variety of machines and shop tools such as wrenches, feeler gauges, and computerized controls for the roll former. There is also use of band saws, drills, grinders, gauges, and material handling devices while performing additional work as steel saw operator. Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following: Supervisory Responsibilities * None. Duties and Responsibilities * Working Lead to achieve the production goals to meet or exceed daily goals. Plan, Do, Adjust. * Perform any area inspections and/or preventative maintenance needed daily (or as scheduled). * Report labor tracking for group daily. * Maintains setup charts for all sets of roll form tooling. * Performs tooling setup and line changeover on roll form machine to produce roll form cross sections to print specifications. * Performs setup/equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain dimensional tolerances of cross sections being produced. * Performs routine/scheduled maintenance on all roll form line equipment, keeping a log of all maintenance performed. * Trains other employees in basic roll form operation and support function. * Reads basic blueprints and sketches to fabricate metal components. * Sets up and operates machines to produce specified components. Makes minor machine adjustments to insure satisfactory production. * Operates equipment under strict safety requirements. * Manage machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces. * Properly fill out coil tags, ensuring footage is correct to aid with inventory in D365. * Check panel for quality, width, and length. * Stocking and organizing carts of produced parts as required by next work area. * Maintain usage logs - scrap, loose framing material, other misc. items. Required Skills and Abilities * Basic computer skills, working in Smarts Sheets, Excel and Word. * Positive interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. * Ability to identify and resolves issues. * Ability to work in both a team environment and independently. * Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment. * Excellent listening and communication skills. * A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude. Education and Experience * 3 years of manufacturing experience. * 2 years of forklift experience. * Mechanical aptitude and machine skill acquired through trade school or related experience. * Must have prior machine operator experience (roll forming a plus). * Have worked with AMS controllers is a plus. * Have worked with Eclipse is a plus. Physical Requirements * Lift up to 50 lbs. and push heavy materials around the factory. * Skill and dexterity in the operation of machines and tools. * Wear required PPE, such as proa tective helmet, goggles, gloves, etc. * Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
