Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job travelers and inspection reports. Ensure safe operation of all equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Marginal Duties: · Basic machine maintenance as necessary (i.e. checking air pressure, re-filling way lube). · Wipe down machinery. · Sweep and/or mop shop floors. · Empty trash cans. · Organize work areas. · Prepare materials for upcoming projects (cutting raw stock, lapping work pieces, etc.). · Assist in any other area as needed. Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred. 2+ years of experience operating EDM machines in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with sinker EDM machines (e.g., Mitsubishi, Cincinnati Milacron). Strong understanding of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machining principles is a plus. Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: · Machine shop trade school a plus, but not necessary.
