We are searching for a candidate with:

Duties and Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
Safe operation of autofold, press brake, shear and various other tools used to complete project.
Create quality and accurate cuts/bends/folds according to blueprints.
Cut and label all sheet metal for jobs on the floor.
Use welding and other metal processing equipment a plus.
Use measuring equipment such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers, square, protractor, etc…
Performs basic math and verifies job requirements, specifications, and maintains quality standards.
Follow and enforce all VDI safety rules and regulations
Ensure equipment is properly set-up & used in a safe manner & that all safety devices are in use.
Operate fork lift, if required and certified.
Performs inspections on product before, during, and after the build following VDI's standards.
Monitor functionality of equipment and tools and request maintenance when required.
Perform basic and preventative maintenance and repair as required.
Effectively communicate with supervisors & other production staff to coordinate work schedules
Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
The Rubber Machine Operator produces molded products or parts from pre-mixed standard rubber or plastic compounds. The Machine Operator observes continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary. Other key tasks include measuring and visually inspecting products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments; positioning and securing work pieces on machines, and start feeding mechanisms; and turning valves and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times. The Machine Operator removes finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment; trims excess material from parts, using knives, and grind scrap plastic into powder for reuse; and cools products after processing to prevent distortion.

Setting quality standards, ensuring standards are met, training and communicating policies and procedures, auditing and analyzing processes, measuring production, reporting results.

Download NC/CNC programs to machine controller; initiate roll forming operations per drawings; modify programs as necessary.
Set rolls to establish multi-axis values; adjust dies to maintain contour, flatness, and angularity; hand-finish parts using appropriate tools (e.g., steel hammer, rubber mallet, arbor press, foot shrinker).
Select and install proper machine accessories (rolls, dies, guide blocks, cams, shims); identify, fabricate, and lay out fixtures, shop aids, templates, guide blocks, shoes, shims, or other aids upon approval.
Record roll settings and sequences for future reference.
Handle materials carefully to minimize scratches and damage; use overhead crane and other material handling equipment (e.g., man aboard stacker) as required.
Transport finished parts using appropriate equipment.
Ensure all detail parts are correctly identified and marked per specifications (e.g., part number, RAMAC number).
Use precision measuring tools and templates to check own work and that of lower-classified employees; verify parts meet quality specifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May perform one or all the following job functions:
Ensure meat, dates, tape, labels, and other supplies are correct according to product specifications.
Ensure efficient packaging by setting up workstations correctly and effectively.
Demonstrate leadership by directing employees to assist others where needed on other lines or rework when machines are down.
Encourage team to be ready to start on time in the morning, after breaks and lunch.
Perform product quality and QA checks to eliminate or reduce product waste or rework, these may include but are not limited to hourly weight or count checks, oxygen level tests, metal detection, or blade inspection.

Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a lead or supervisor.
Able to set up and adjust the check weighers.
Stock and sort product for packaging machine operation and coordinate the replenishing of packaging supplies such as film, WIP, boxes, clip strips, or ageless.
Inspect and remove defective products and packaging materials.
Manage machine change over's including sanitizing machine for species or allergen changes.
Run labels according to product specifications.
Ensure that proper safety and sanitation measures are followed by instructing employees on proper company procedures and then monitoring personnel to make sure all procedures are being followed.
Ensure smooth flow of work by monitoring production on the processing machine operation (Spice Blending, Shaking, Stuffing, and Delinking). Assign people to various functions of the machine and operation as needed. Maintain appropriate communication with all personnel and make decisions when necessary.
Keep track of production as it relates to schedules and scheduling. Monitor production levels of crew and machine to ensure required production standards are met.

Inform Management of any Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which have become noncompliant with specified requirements.
Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Maintain accountability to Oberto Brands Food Safety and Quality Principles.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.

This role is a full-time permanent position working nights Monday-Friday with possible weekend work. This specific opening is for a Boiler Operator.
What you will do as a Machine Operator:
Rotate through various job responsibilities and tasks within your assigned workspace on an hourly basis.
Shoveling, lifting, carrying boards and debris with exposure to dust while contributing to the overall cleanliness of the site.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
Taking responsibility for contributing to a safe work environment.
Experience and skills that will help you stand out:
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to perform repetitive, manual tasks for extended periods of time including piling lumber, standing for long hours, walking, shoveling, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs.
Ability to work in an environment that includes exposure to environmental elements, moving mechanical equipment, loud noise, and dust.
Experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment would be considered a plus. Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.
Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers.
A high degree of urgency and attention to detail.
Desire to learn, grow, and succeed.
