About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician III / Manufacturing Production Operator to support the production of large-scale buffer solutions in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role involves hands-on equipment operation, wet chemistry lab work, documentation, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Production
Manufacture products according to approved protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Set up and prepare materials and products for production runs
Perform routine analytical testing (e.g., pH, conductivity) to ensure process control
Monitor product quality and quantities throughout the manufacturing process
Clean and maintain equipment and production areas after operations
Handle and transport chemicals and equipment using pumps, piping, forklifts, pallet jacks, or dollies
Equipment OperationOperate and set up processing equipment according to current procedures
Identify equipment malfunctions and, with approval, make adjustments to set points or operating parameters
Report equipment issues and work with maintenance teams to resolve problems
Documentation & Communication
Communicate production status and any deviations to supervisors
Complete accurate batch records in compliance with quality guidelines
Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required
Enter labor hours and raw material usage into SAP
Ensure all required logbooks and documentation are completed accurately
Safety, Quality & Compliance
Follow all safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures
Properly use, clean, and store required PPE (clean-shaven requirement applies)
Label all in-process equipment and containers correctly
Identify and take action to resolve unsafe conditions
Participate in required safety, quality, and job-related training
Maintain strong housekeeping standards in laboratory and production areas
Continuous Improvement
Support process improvement initiatives using scientific principles and hands-on experience
Assist with training and mentoring coworkers
Provide technical guidance during manufacturing operations as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a manufacturing or laboratory environment
Willingness to follow clean-shaven safety requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Chemistry or another hard science
Wet chemistry laboratory experience (pH solutions, conductivity, stoichiometry)
Manufacturing or production experience
Experience with SAP (training available)
