JOB DESCRIPTION: This position works on the floor doing various jobs in the pressroom and paper processing areas. The tasks include getting supplies for presses, preparing stock, assisting in press setup and press cleanup. The operator in this position must be able to operate the Aerator-Jogger. Uses forklift to support the Pressroom and Paper Processing operations by supplying raw material, removing waste material, transporting processed material and includes the wrapping and identification of unused raw material. This includes handling rolls of paper for the Web press. Level I Pressmen are responsible for setup and operation of the back ends of Web and Harris presses. They should be able to make print registration and quality adjustments. Level I Pressmen must know how to perform pre and post Make-Ready tasks including gumming plates and preparing inks. Assists press crew on roller changes, press maintenance and press cleaning. Required to wash plates, blankets and back cylinders before, during and after press runs. This position requires mathematical and mechanical skills and the ability to recognize color differences. Total Compensation: $23.83 per hour Hours: 5:45pm - 6:00am What does a 12 hour rotating shift do for you? Basic reading, writing and math skills. Computer experience preferred. Responsibilities: Production Operators tend machines such as fillers, labeler, packaging, cappers, palletizers, ect. used for bottling water. They will operate manufacturing equipment in an efficient and safe manner while ensuring package and product quality. GMP and PPE Requirements: While on the Production floor in the plant you will be required to follow and help enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the Production floor must follow the GMP rules outlined in their employee handbook which includes the required hairnets, beard covers, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Production Operators follow all SOPs including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Production Operators also follow HACCP & SQF requirements for food quality and safety. Essential Job Duties: Preforms basic machine operations to include operating machines, stacking raw materials, handling finished product cases, preforming quality inspections and making minor machine adjustments. Monitors the flow of outgoing finished goods and corrects any disturbance in the flow of those goods. Cleans equipment and line continually throughout the shift and maintains a clean safe work area. Expedites repairs to the line working with maintenance as necessary. Keeps daily records of downtime and machine operations. Follows SOPs for all operations. Maintains a clean, orderly and safe area at all times. Must follow all established GMP's. Non-Essential Job Duties: Will perform other related work as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager. In the absence of this employee, responsibilities will be covered by the direct manager or appointee.
