The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented Manual Machine Operator to join our production floor. You'll work with manual lathes, mills, grinders, and ProtoTrak systems to bring precision parts to life. From set-up to final inspection, you'll play a key role in delivering the quality our clients expect.
What You'll Do
Operate manual machines to produce precision components
Set up jobs and verify dimensions using high-precision tools
Read and interpret technical blueprints and work instructions
Select and maintain proper tooling for each job
Complete documentation accurately (job logs, SPC forms, etc.)
Collaborate with the team to hit production targets and maintain quality
What You Bring
High school diploma required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
5+ years of experience in a machine shop environment
Strong blueprint reading and mechanical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of machining speeds, feeds, and MIL-SPEC standards
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a typical machine shop setting
Proficiency in machine shop math and basic trigonometry
Clear communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

**Detailed Description**
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
+ Repetitive to non-repetitive assembly and testing, assembly, test, troubleshooting, and rework, of electronic and quartz components.
+ Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
+ Ability to analyze, troubleshoot CCA board level components in accordance with established procedures.
+ May perform manual assembly, hand soldering, and operation digital or analog test equipment.
+ Participate in cell and operational cross training
+ Other opeartional duties as needed
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**
+ Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
+ In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
+ Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications.
+ Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
+ Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
+ Ability to communicate effectively within the functional team
+ Ability to work effectively with team members
+ Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
+ Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems. SAP knowledge preferred

**Physical Demands**

Job Summary
The Machine Operator I is an entry-level role responsible for setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines including robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product. The position involves following standard procedures to ensure efficient operation and quality output. The operator will receive training on machinery, safety, and quality control, and will work under the supervision of more experienced operators or supervisors, with a focus on attention to detail and troubleshooting basic issues.
Duties/Responsibilities
Machine Operation:
* Operate basic production equipment (e.g., CNC machines, presses, packaging machines, injection molding machines, etc.) according to instructions and safety guidelines.
* Monitor machine operations and output, ensuring the machinery operates within specified parameters.
* Make simple adjustments to machine settings (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) as needed based on job requirements.
Quality Control:
* Perform visual and basic quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
* Report any defects, irregularities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors or senior operators. Maintain records of quality checks and production performance.
Safety and Maintenance:

* Perform basic machine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts under the guidance of senior operators or maintenance personnel.
* Clean machines and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Production and Efficiency:
* Assist in meeting daily production quotas by maintaining a steady machine operation pace.
* Log production data, machine performance, and downtime in daily production reports.
Team Collaboration:
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
* Work under the guidance of senior machine operators and supervisors, learning more advanced machine operations and troubleshooting techniques.
Experience/Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent.

What You Will Do

Summary
This job is an hourly position and reports to the area Supervisor/Cell Leader. Receives detailed assignments and follows established processes to meet the goals of the work cell. Regular overtime work may be required in this role.
Work is guided by diverse procedures, processes and/or technical methods of varying complexity. Tasks are compled in nature where considerable judgement and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact beyond the jobs immediate work unit or team. This position works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to expert resource. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Deals directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers and team members; engages in exchanges of factual information and provides some explanation in a problem solving capacity; interactions with external contacts, if applicable, require exchanging factual information and providing some explanation.

Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
* Repetitive to non-repetitive assembly and testing, assembly, test, troubleshooting, and rework, of electronic and quartz components.
* Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
* Ability to analyze, troubleshoot CCA board level components in accordance with established procedures.
* May perform manual assembly, hand soldering, and operation digital or analog test equipment.
* Participate in cell and operational cross training
* Other opeartional duties as needed
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
* Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
* Knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications.
* Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
* Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively within the functional team
* Ability to work effectively with team members
* Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
* Knowledge of computer applications and the ability to accurately perform tasks in some or all of the following applications: Word, Excel and Documentation control systems. SAP knowledge preferred
* More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge
Physical Demands
* Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional to frequent exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
* Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions requiring manual dexterity and precise hand/eye co-ordination, sitting and or standing in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
* Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
* Above demands are carried out within the local existing Health and Safety guidelines.

Job Summary
The Machine Operator I is an entry-level role responsible for setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines including robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product.
