Job Title: Production/Process Equipment Operator II
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Pay rate: $22/Hr.
Qualifications:
• A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required.
• A valid US driver's license is required.
• A minimum of 1-2 years' manufacturing/production, warehouse, technician, logistic/military experience is preferred.
• Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice is required.
• Willing and able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear, and flame-retardant clothing.
• Willing and able to lift and move objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Willing and able to perform repetitive movement; including climbing several flights of stairs multiple times per day, stand, stoop, and bend.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to keep accurate written records and maintain good communication skills.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Must be flexible, adaptable, dependable, reliable, and must be able to work in a team environment.
• Prior experience performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The site is a key manufacturing facility for Shelter Business. Production Operators perform required tasks associated with the safe and efficient operation of the production line, including the use of equipment to produce high quality products in a timely manner. Production Operators are expected to work independently and on teams with minimal supervision. This position requires strong communication skills in both written and oral form including following operating procedures. Production Operators will need to follow instructions, troubleshoot and solve problems, as well as exhibit strong work ethic and reliability.
All Production Operators work Monday through Thursday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

We are looking for Machine Operators to produce world class tube products for HTC using safe machine operating techniques and effective lean manufacturing principles. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
Complete pre-flight and shut down procedures. Set up the bagger (Hayssen) per bag specifications.
Maintain equipment and quality (bag and contents). Perform preventative maintenance of the equipment (Program Bagger and scales, etc.) when necessary.
Conduct quality inspections, visual checks of defect, FO's, size, color, quality, etc.
Manage and reduce waste (product giveaway) by use of scale system. Establish Bagged Salad Efficiency (Production rates and BPM).
Certify the bag meets product and order specifications numbers by visual checks of lot numbers and code dates.
Validate quality of the bag (air testing, seals, code date, weight, nitrogen, volume, etc.)
Lift/carry forming tubes and film roll and adjust to bagger equipment (50 lbs).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write and speak English; basic math skills.
Ability to be cross trained and multi-task in multiple positions.
Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
GED/High School Diploma.
Must be proficient in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or French
Physical Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
