The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the shop, supervising Detailers and Commercial Vehicle Upfit/Service Technicians to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. This role serves as the primary on-site leader coordinating shop workflow, supporting technician training, communicating job status updates, and assisting with schedule development and execution. Key Responsibilities Shop Oversight & Daily Operations Oversee daily shop activities for detailing, upfitting, and service work. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications. Monitor work progress and verify completion of assigned tasks. Ensure shop areas are organized, clean, and operating efficiently. Scheduling & Workflow Coordination Assist in building and executing daily and weekly shop schedules. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. 5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle upfitting, service, detailing, or related shop environments. Previous leadership, lead technician, or foreman experience preferred. Skills & Abilities Strong technical knowledge of upfitting, mechanical service, and vehicle detailing processes. Ability to train and mentor technicians at varying skill levels. Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Effective communicator with both internal teams and customer-facing staff.
