*BLOCK BY BLOCK is currently seeking to hire a Pressure Washer/Cleaning Ambassador. We have a couple of conditions though. You have to have a great attitude, good work ethic and like to have fun. Because we want you to want to come to work. We want you to have safe fun.*

Our Pressure Washer Technician is expected to provide a high level of visibility on the street to carry out a wide variety of tasks that improve the overall appearance of the service district they are assigned to. They must also understand this position will also be a Cleaning Ambassador. Tasks assigned will include but are not limited to:

Operating various equipment to pressure wash, vacuum, paint, remove gum, and clean sidewalks for pedestrian use and enjoy. Our Pressure Washers clean and sanitize the filth, graffiti and grime from the sidewalks, and making it a more enjoyable place to live, work and play.

Watering plants and other landscape enhancing activities such as weeding and spraying off containers where flowers are planted and cans where garbage is stored. The name of the game is high pressure hot water that sanitizes dirt away. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail and keep their eyes on safety. We are working in and on open city streets so safety is an absolute must.

*Other Essential Functions: *

OBSERVE AND REPORT- While on patrol and washing be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to Safety Ambassadors via two-way radios. Must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers.

HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - While on patrol and washing actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, city information or recommendations.

REPORTING - Must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. This position is akin to a “Special Projects” position so we need people that can keep track of work orders and ensure that any broken handrails or important public safety hazards are documented and reported.

PROFESSIONALISM - Must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism. In short: You cannot embarrass the Block by Block family. Our reputation is at stake, so we need people that are emotionally mature with a great work ethic.

Physical Requirements Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting 60 to 100 lbs. Frequently bends, kneels and crouches. Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs, sweeping, moping and pushing/lifting. May drive vehicle if needed. Continuous traversing and moving about. Exposure to adverse weather conditions, hazardous chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.

DAY-TO-DAY

This entry-level power washer and septic cleaning position is full-time, working Monday through Friday for 40 to 50 hours per week . Weekends are required as needed.

As a Power Washing Technician, you effectively operate pressure washing equipment to assist with a variety of cleaning projects including septic lines. You are always safety-minded, following protocols in all circumstances. Because you pay close attention to detail, you never miss a spot. In addition to pressure washing and septic cleaning, you also take part in maintaining septic and grease trap systems. No matter the task, customer service is your number one priority, and you're great at it !

Specific Responsibilities:
