Job Description Service Porter The Collision Center/Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of a collision center and/or service department. This position interacts daily with Customers, Technicians, Collision Manager, Service Associates, Parts Associates, Cashiers, Sales Associates and Managers, just to name a few. Complete a detailed quote on work to be completed, including parts, service hours, shop supplies and tax. Consults customers with necessary repair service and makes recommendations for preventative maintenance. Communicate status of vehicles throughout the repair process with the customer. Schedules service work according to priority and maintains an orderly flow of work. Examine warranty claims and submit any qualifying items to the appropriate manufacturer.
