Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. We are actively seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Certified Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, experienced in properly handling and restraining animals, knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understands the importance of client education, able to confidently dispense and administer medication prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. This individual will be required to work at both of our clinics. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and we encourage our staff to do the same. Schedule: 4-day work week with rotating Saturday mornings
Requirements:
Credentialed Veterinary Technician, license must be current in the state of Minnesota
2+ years of prior veterinary experience
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Cornerstone knowledge is a plus
Confidently and comfortably restrain animals
Knowledge of surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets
Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice
Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
