JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Plumber is a senior, customer-focused service professional responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and replacing residential plumbing systems. This role requires strong technical plumbing skills, excellent customer service, and proficient use of ServiceTitan CRM to ensure accurate documentation, transparent pricing, and high customer satisfaction.
JOB DUTIES
Diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems
Present Straight Forward Pricing using Good / Better / Best options and obtain customer approval prior to performing work
Explain diagnoses, repair options, and completed work clearly to customers to ensure full understanding and satisfaction
Accurately document all job details in ServiceTitan, including notes, photos, estimates, invoices, and customer authorizations
Test all work prior to job completion to ensure proper operation and reduce callbacks
Maintain a clean and safe jobsite, including use of floor savers and protection of customer property
Deliver professional customer service and represent the company brand at all times
Operate and maintain a company-assigned service vehicle in a clean and organized condition
Follow all safety procedures and demonstrate safe driving habits
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5+ years of residential service plumbing experience
Ability to work independently and operate a company service vehicle
Strong customer service and communication skills
Experience using ServiceTitan CRM or similar field service software (ServiceTitan preferred)
Ability to present pricing confidently and close service work
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Knowledge of local plumbing codes and permit requirements

The Role:
As a ServiceTechnician, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification.
Operate power tools and perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling).
Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
What You Will Need:
Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.

Minimum of Four (4) years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry. This includes buildings, chiller plants and systems.
Vocational School program graduate or an associate's degree in a technical field, or two years' experience in servicing electronic and or mechanical systems.
Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
Possesses the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications.
Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.

Key Responsibilities:
Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot valves and related instruments.
Assemble new and repaired equipment to meet quality standards.
Document repair, testing, and assembly activities including failure analysis, parts used, and labor hours.
Perform inventory control tasks such as stocking, pulling parts, and cycle counting.
Communicate with customers for technical support, troubleshooting, and repair quoting.
