Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to join our team as a Mid-Level Instructional Designer. This role supports Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) by designing effective training programs tailored to the diverse learning needs of U.S. Navy personnel and stakeholders. Travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
Define clear learning objectives and develop engaging, high-quality content
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze information aligned with learner needs
Design detailed storyboards outlining course flow and interactive elements
Develop online courses to build skills and knowledge, incorporating assessments to evaluate training effectiveness
Create multimedia-rich supporting materials, including audio, video, and visual aids
Differentiate between various learner profiles to ensure effective instruction and identify strategies for those requiring additional support
Recommend instructional strategies and implementation methods to enhance curriculum effectiveness

Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 years of specialized experience in curriculum design
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Expertise in adult learning principles and technology-based content creation
Proficiency in online course development using course-authoring tools
Demonstrated experience implementing courses in an LMS
U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications:

Space Warfare Planner

The individual in this position will provide subject matter expertise (SME) in Space Warfare Planner support to USFF in the accomplishment their mission to train and sustain Maritime Operations Centers (MOCs) command and control capabilities at Major and Numbered Fleets Commands, Naval Component Commands (NCC) and when designated, Joint Force Maritime Component Commands (JFMCC) at the Operational Level of War (OLW). The Space Warfare Planner will assist in the development of scenarios, road to crisis, operational environment, specific storylines, and exercise injects that ensure the commander's training objectives are accomplished. Additionally, the SME will assist government representatives in debrief of OLW exercises in accordance with appropriate measures of effectiveness (MOE) using USFF established Navy Mission Essential Task Lists (NMETL).

This team develops exercise scenarios, Master Scenario Events List and runs the modeling and simulation needed to provide the operational context for the exercise. Familiarity (training, employment, and recovery) with the following: Negation of Improvised Non-State Joint Aerial-Threats (NINJA) system and the Counter-Remote Control Model Aircraft Integrated Air Defense Network (CORIAN) system
Able to understand and facilitate coordination with DOD and other national departments and organizations, such as the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Department of Energy, on C-UUS development and procurement
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to identify, research, evaluate, and recommend any changes to airspace management, operational concepts, rules of engagement, or tactics required in order to optimize the use of US Navy C-UUS systems and/or deconflict with other U.S. military operations
Required Experience
Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in analysis and recognition of variances to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Logistics, Personnel, or Facilities as they apply to the Antiterrorism Program encompassing C-UUS policy, doctrine, training, and lifecycle management.
Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize US Navy C-UUS capability and capacity gaps and solutions within the afloat, ashore, and expeditionary operating environments.
Desired
Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in analyzing and evaluating (on a quantitative and qualitative basis) the effectiveness of C-UUS operations in meeting established goals and objectives at various echelons
Education
Bachelor's Degree is required, OR four (4) years equivalency of analytical experience as a military officer
or senior NCO (including counter-UAX training and certifications with various systems) is an acceptable substitute
Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
