Role Description:
This position offers the opportunity to combine high-velocity deal execution with strategic capital formation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of East Coast Acquisitions, operating in a high-autonomy environment that demands commercial judgment, quantitative excellence, and attention to detail.
Investment Acquisitions (70%)
Deal Execution: Drive the full transaction lifecycle for East Coast multifamily investments. Responsibilities include thesis generation, rigorous underwriting, due diligence management, and closing execution.
Quantitative Rigor: Construct and manipulate granular financial models (Excel) for complex deal structures, including ground-up development, value-add repositioning, and multi-tiered waterfall promotes.
Investment Committee: Synthesize deal metrics and market research into high-conviction Investment Committee memoranda; defend underwriting assumptions to Senior Leadership.
Market Intelligence: develop proprietary views on target submarkets through primary research, tracking supply/demand fundamentals to identify mispriced opportunities.
Strategic Capital Formation (30%)
Fund Analysis: Partner with the Capital Raising team to model fund-level returns and sensitivity analyses for current and future investment vehicles.
Strategic Fundraising Materials: Prepare institutional-grade presentation materials for potential and existing investors
Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of academic and professional excellence.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience at a top-tier Investment Bank (Real Estate coverage), Private Equity firm, or elite Real Estate Brokerage.
Technical Skills: Expertise in Excel and financial modeling is required. Candidates must demonstrate an ability to build complex models from scratch with zero error rate.
Education: Strong academic credentials from a top-tier university with a degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.

Assist in the analysis and execution of property financings, refinancings, and dispositions, including working with lenders, preparing materials, and supporting transaction processes.
Order and review third-party reports (appraisals, environmental assessments, physical needs assessments, etc.).
Assist with property inspections, market tours, and site visits as required.
Research & Market Intelligence
Conduct market research to evaluate local economic drivers, housing supply and demand, and competitive landscapes in target markets.
Monitor housing policy developments and affordable housing incentives in relevant jurisdictions.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal investment committees and external partners.
Collaborate with Asset Management to ensure a smooth transition of acquisitions into the operational portfolio.
Participate in portfolio strategy discussions, helping shape acquisition pipelines, financing strategies, and investment theses.
Relationship Management
Build relationships with brokers, lenders, attorneys, consultants, and other industry professionals to source opportunities and stay informed on market dynamics.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
2-5 years of professional experience in real estate acquisitions, investment analysis, asset management, or related financial roles, preferably with multifamily housing experience.
Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, with the ability to build, audit, and explain complex models.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in real estate, business administration, finance, accounting, economics from an accredited institution
One or more years' experience working for a real estate company, institutional real estate investor or financial institution, with a focus on real estate.
Ability to read and understand key real estate agreements, including leases, management and leasing agreements, partnership agreements, and loan agreements.
Strong analytical skills. The ability to gather, organize and clearly summarize information.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (familiarity with Power BI is a plus) and Argus
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Independent and self-motivated, but able to function well in a collaborative, collegial environment.

This position requires a deadline-driven, service-focused, and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for underwriting borrower consent requests, calculating/coordinating loan payoffs, new loan audits, financial statement and rent roll analysis, watchlist monitoring, reserve disbursement requests, processing insurance losses, and satisfying investor requirements. Focus will be on commercial mortgage risk management and customer service. Additional responsibilities may be added to align with department strategies and objectives.

Essential Accountabilities
Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, other servicing staff, and regional offices.
Manage a portfolio of Agency and/or CMBS loans with varying requirements and regulations.
Underwrite and make recommendations for lender consent of borrower requests, including lease approvals, maturity extensions, partial releases/substitutions of collateral, easements, condemnations, ownership transfers, loan assumptions, etc.
Coordinate with legal counsel and borrowers to document and close transactions upon final lender approval.
Calculate and coordinate loan payoff requests, including yield maintenance calculations.
Analyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with the requirements of Freddie Mac and conduit lenders.
Follow up with borrowers regarding variances and general income and expense questions.
Perform financial covenant testing calculations including NOI, DSCR, debt yield, etc.
Review property repair verification inspections conducted by third party vendors and regional offices.
Follow up with borrowers to resolve any deferred maintenance or other issues identified during the annual inspection.
Monitor post-closing repairs to ensure they are completed timely and in a good workmanlike manner.
Review and make recommendations for releases from reserves including capital expenditure, repair, TI/LC, debt service reserve, rental achievement, and insurance loss.
Process Insurance loss requests, manage proceeds, and monitor the restoration of the property.
Monitor and update monthly loan reports utilized by investors and management to analyze portfolio risk.
Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure loan terms and covenants were accurately captured in the servicing system.
Introduction to training and mentoring across team on areas of expertise including loan events, various processes, and general commercial real estate knowledge.
Monitor and collect outstanding mortgage payments, carefully documenting collection efforts.
Serve on procedure committees updating policies for the Portfolio & Asset Management Department.
Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned within department.
Education
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in the finance, real estate, or accounting.
Work Experience
