Pries Enterprises is a family owned aluminum extrusion manufacturer that started in 1976 and is located in Independence, Iowa.
Arthur Pries was bought out of the company in 1981, but the name “Pries Enterprises” had already stuck.
The Independence location was built in 1984, perfectly situated right off of both Highway 20 and Highway 150.
In 1996, a second addition was added on to the Independence facility, which is currently where the oldest and newest presses now sit.
In 1999, Merle bought out the remainder of the owners, moved all operations to Independence, and became the sole President of Pries Enterprises.
The third addition began in 2001 where the second largest press currently sits.
After Merle passed away in 2010, his son Matt McMahon took over as owner.
In 2019, Pries completed a fourth addition to their building, adding 50,000 square feet, and adding anodizing to their list of custom processes and advancements.
