Required Qualifications:
Unrestricted licensure in the state of (Connecticut) or ability to obtain prior to start
BC/BE in Family Medicine
Active, unrestricted CSR and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start
The salary range for this role is $226,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is open to both internal medicine and family practice providers. The physician provides a full scope of primary care services to patients. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.
Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- review patient histories
- perform physical examinations
- evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
- refer patients to specialists as needed
- review test results and recommend suitable management

Pediatric sub-specialists are available around the clock to support these medical services.
Our Emergency Department
The emergency department evaluates and treats patients presenting with all types of emergencies, 24 hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. It is the only Verified Level II Trauma Center for both adult and pediatric patients on the south shore of Long Island. The emergency medicine clinical team works collaboratively with the in-hospital Trauma Team to provide immediate trauma care to all patients presenting with a traumatic injury. The emergency department also provides immediate access to a 24-7 cardiac percutaneous coronary intervention team and is a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The emergency department's staff includes physicians, nurses, and physician assistants who are trained and experienced at responding to emergent medical problems in patients of all ages. Approximately 90,000 injured or ill adult and pediatric patients are treated every year in the emergency department.
