They also specialize in childbirth, treating and counseling women throughout their pregnancy, from giving prenatal diagnoses, to delivery, and postpartum care. The role of the gynecological provider at Kelsey Seybold spans the adult lifetime of woman's care, meeting both her medical and surgical needs. Kelsey-Seybold OB/GYNs are women's health specialists, practicing at their highest ethical standards. An obstetrical and gynecological provider at Kelsey-Seybold could expect to have the opportunity to grow intellectually and professionally over her or his entire career to reach their professional and ethical best. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Licensed in the State of Texas. Board Certified and/or Board Eligible. Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $278,500 to $484,500 . Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. DUTIES OF THE PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN: Serves as on-site medical authority within the scope of services provided by IHSC, responsible for developing and coordinating all aspects of healthcare delivery at assigned facility. Contributes to the production of the clinic with expectation to routinely see a patient at least every 30-45 minutes, depending on complexity of the patient encounter. This also includes signing of all assigned patient encounter notes daily. All chart reviews /co-signatures, referrals submissions/reviews, lab reviews, telephone encounters, actions, and message reviews are to be completed within policy guidelines. Provides direct care to patients throughout the lifespan within physician scope of practice and performs functions in accordance with currently accepted practice defined by the profession, licensure, certification, and granted privileges. Supports facility performance improvement activities, and grievance and case review taskings. Performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies and position. Maintains functional proficiency and ease of use utilizing electronic health records as required by, and appropriate to, position. Completes all discipline specific testing, initially and during recertification periods. Medical practice privilege requirements must be maintained. Completes all initial, annual and ad hoc training and health screening / prevention activities as required/assigned. Maintains patient confidentiality, and confidentiality of medical records, in compliance with the Privacy Act and HIPAA regulations in all work activities. Adheres to, and maintains awareness of, IHSC policies, procedures, directives, operational memoranda and accreditation standards as prescribed by ICE/IHSC.
