The PA will work alongside two physicians (including an eGS acute surgicalist) and two other APPs, with supervision provided by the acute surgicalist. The facility features full support, including clinical and ancillary staff, exam and procedure rooms, medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy services. The role focuses primarily on trauma, inpatient, and consult coverage, with minimal clinic volume, and serves a hub hospital that supports 16 surrounding counties and a population of over 200,000. EPIC is used for EMR, and teaching opportunities are available through internal medicine and family medicine residency programs. Services provided include laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgery, endoscopy, clinic consults, follow-ups, and trauma call coverage. Candidates must be Board Certified and hold an active Iowa license or active compact license.
