Treating patients in-office or in testing centers as well as conducting occasional tele-health visits

Nights shared equally on a rotating schedule.
Rounding on the inpatient pulmonary service, including bronchoscopy and other procedures.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Primarily a direct clinical care role, diagnosis, and treatment of veterans
* Oversee the clinical care given to veterans enrolled in the clinic
* Medical resource for care delivery
* Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through periodic chart reviews, direct observation, and by abiding by VA guidelines.
* Develop and maintain a positive, collaborative and working relationship with our VA partners
* Support patient enrollment and retention by providing guidance, when necessary, regarding scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
Graduation from an accredited medical school. Licensure in the state of Texas. Prefer board certification/board eligible in Family Practice, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics. Current prescriptive licenses.
EXPERIENCE
Progressive health care experience required to adequately provide the knowledge and skills necessary in the operation of a primary healthcare clinic. Experience must include outpatient experience in both mental health and women's healthcare.

Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
