Performance and Quality Improvement Responsibilities:
Meets benchmarks for applicable quality indicators as noted in the annual quality improvement plan including the development of an appropriately sized continuity panel of patients and the maintenance of current productivity standards along with colleagues, assists in continuous quality improvement through on-going problem/needs identification and problem solving and, as requested, acts as change champion or lead in improvement activities.
Organizational Responsibilities:
Supervises advanced practice providers, support staff including nurse and medical assistants, students, interns and residents.
Maintains availability for various administrative/clinical duties as requested by supervisor e.g., case presentations; in-service training to staff.

Education and Experience Required:

Pediatrician - After-Hours
Highlights
Enjoy working as part of our well-established and beloved Pediatric After-Hours Program, the only after-hours clinic in Marin County exclusively for children under 18.
Collegial environment with exceptional quality and talented support staff
Weekday shifts are 5-9p, and weekends 9-5p; minimum of 3 shifts per month
Average number of patients seen per shift is 5 (up to 9) on weeknights, and 10 (up to 18) on weekends.
Independent Contractor agreement or employment through Prima Medical Group
Epic integrated electronic health records utilized
Candidate Qualifications
M.D. or D.O.
Board certified or eligible (with intent to become certified within 1 year) in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
Licensed or eligible for licensure in California.
Practice evidence based medicine and possess a strong philosophy of excellence in patient care and excellence in the overall patient experience
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is based on actual shifts worked. Weekday shifts are $140/hour, and weekend shifts are $160/hour. Additional pay may be determined for candidates that exceed specific qualifications and requirements.

In this project, you will leverage your expertise in Internal Medicine to help fine-tune large language models (like ChatGPT). Your deep understanding of diagnostic reasoning, chronic disease management, and patient care will help ensure AI systems deliver accurate, empathetic, and safe medical reasoning.
What You'll Do
Design and solve advanced clinical scenarios reflecting internal medicine practice, from complex differential diagnoses to chronic care management.
Evaluate AI-generated responses for diagnostic accuracy, clinical judgment, and evidence-based reasoning.
Identify gaps in AI understanding across internal medicine subspecialties (cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, etc.).
Collaborate with AI researchers and medical peers to improve model quality and reliability.
Provide structured, expert feedback that informs next-generation AI development for clinical and educational applications.
Candidate Requirements
MD or equivalent; active practice within the last 3+ years.
Board certification or equivalent qualification in Internal Medicine.
Strong grasp of internal medicine's full spectrum - acute care, chronic disease, and preventive medicine.
Skilled in articulating complex medical reasoning in clear, patient-friendly language.
Excellent written and spoken English; familiarity with digital medical tools is a plus.
Education from a top-tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford, etc.).
Offer Details
Commitment: 20-40 hours/week (minimum 4 hours/day, with overlap in PST)
Engagement: Contractor/freelancer (no medical or paid leave)
Duration: 1 month, with possible extension
Remote: Fully remote, collaborative environment
