Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) working in VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) or Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), will adhere to infection control, biohazard handling, and PPE protocols to ensure a safe environment. Physicians must follow HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and VA workplace safety policies, including radiation safety, ergonomic best practices, and emergency response procedures.

Workplace violence prevention training and security measures are in place for safety. Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a practicing physician in a primary care setting preferred.
Familiarity with VA policies, procedures, and electronic health records (EHR/CPRS) is a plus.
Ability to pass a background check and credentialing process required by the VA.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette and precise documentation.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level), online calendars, and cloud-based systems.

The Palliative Medicine Physician will work within an interdisciplinary team to provide inpatient consultation to patients with serious illness who are seeking assistance with advanced symptom management, clarifying goals of care, addressing end of life issues and care, and transition planning. Compensation and Benefits
The entire salary range for this position is $298,506 to $351,184 and will be prorated based on FTE. Placement of new hires will be in the range of $298,506 to $333,625 based on factors such as education, training or experience.

Minimum of three (3) years of successful clinical experience, principally in an ambulatory clinic involving acute and chronic patient management.
Current and active Washington State Physician License.
DEA Certification.
CPR certification.

Be physically active up to 80% of the time, including: standing, lifting, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and reaching.

Work is performed mostly in a clinic setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, walk, bend, balance, crouch, kneel, reach and twist; and frequently use both hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift, move, push/pull and/or carry up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far acuity and the ability to adjust focus. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
