Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Intensivist will be part of a dedicated on-site care team responsible for the management of critically ill patients. The role is based in New Jersey and involves daytime inpatient coverage with telehealth support during night shifts.
Schedule and Requirements
Day shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (night coverage provided by Tele-ICU team)
Manage approximately 10-12 patients daily in a 16-bed ICU
Minimum of 14 shifts per month
Active New Jersey medical license and DEA certification required
Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine (MD or DO)
Prior experience in critical care or acute hospital medicine preferred
Must maintain full compliance with credentialing and hospital regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
Deliver bedside care to critically ill patients in the ICU and other acute settings
Diagnose and manage life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction

Patient Population: Primary Care (75%) and HIV patients (25%)
Patient Volume: 15 to 17 per day
Responsibilities:
The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will:
Diagnoseand treatacute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions
Prescribeor administermedications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
Explainprocedures and discusstest results or prescribed treatments with patients
Monitorpatients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
Providehealth and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
Immunizepatients against preventable diseases
Maintaindetailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
Performother duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
Board Eligible / Certified in Family and/or Internal Medicine
Desired Skills:
