Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $229,500 to$378,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Workplace Safety and Environment:
Primary CarePhysicians (PCPs) working in VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) or Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), will adhere to infection control, biohazard handling, and PPE protocols to ensure a safe environment. Physicians must follow HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and VA workplace safety policies, including radiation safety, ergonomic best practices, and emergency response procedures.
Physicians will manage high patient volumes, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide care to aging veterans, combat-injured patients, and those with PTSD or mental health challenges. Workplace violence prevention training and security measures are in place for safety. All incidents, exposures, or patient safety concerns must be reported per VA compliance and occupational health requirements.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Active and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a practicing physician in a primary care setting preferred.
Familiarity with VA policies, procedures, and electronic health records (EHR/CPRS) is a plus.
Ability to pass a background check and credentialing process required by the VA.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone etiquette and precise documentation.
Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level), online calendars, and cloud-based systems.
Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills.
Customer-focused with a team-oriented work ethic.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately while maintaining quality standards.
Must provide proof of required immunizations.

UW Medicine Primary Care is seeking two Primary CarePhysicians, in conjunction with the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine. These openings are for full-time Primary Care practice at our OPMC Clinic on the UWMC Northwest Hospital Campus in Seattle.

Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Successful candidate will be appointed as a Clinical Instructor through the UW School of Medicine.

Clinical Instructors hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. In addition to providing primary care, this role will include some clinical teaching responsibilities.
Base salary for this position will be $18,423 per month ($221,079 per annum) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determination and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) provides eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.
Other compensation associated with this position includes a minimum guaranteed incentive for the first two years of $13,000 per quarter ($52,000 per annum) through UW Physicians. The incentive is based on both production and quality metrics, with guaranteed incentive pay being based on achieving up to the 45th percentile of production during the period of record; should the provider exceed this level of production, they will receive the higher productivity earned incentive instead.

Candidates must have earned an MD or DO, or foreign equivalent, completed residency, and should be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine. Candidates will need to possess or obtain a valid Washington State medical license and DEA cert.
