Serve as Medical Director for the school's AED Program. Oversee and review the school's concussion policy. Participate in Selection Classification screenings for 7th and 8th grade athletic participation. General Availability & Coordination Provide weekday office appointments at approximately 10:00 a.m. and emergency availability during the day (with reasonable scheduling flexibility). Arrange for a covering physician/NP during absences. Coordinate with the Health Center for care transitions, compliance monitoring, and documentation. Qualifications Medical Doctor (MD/DO) or licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York State. Active license in good standing; ability to provide proof of licensure. Experience working with children or adolescents is preferred. Professional office must be located within a 10-mile radius of The Stony Book School Strong communication, clinical judgment, and an ability to collaborate effectively with nursing staff, school leadership, and families. Familiarity with NYS Department of Education health requirements is a plus. Must be able to meet required insurance and malpractice coverage standards.
