To perform evaluation, diagnostic care, treatment planning and therapy services to acutely ill adults presenting with mental illness, substance abuse, and/or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
Providing assessment using a Biopsychosocial Model Leading a treatment team to develop diagnoses and treatment planning in acutely mentally ill adults Will provide individual therapy services using a variety of treatment modalities, which could include, crisis planning, CBT, RET, behavioral modification, solution-focused therapy, and other brief psychiatric therapy models Will provide group therapy services, as well as family therapy as needed Will follow every aspect of the patient's care including recommendations and referral for outpatient care following discharge Acts as a patient advocate in all aspects of care, participating in various meetings and conferences representing the best interest of the patient when the patient is unavailable Serve as a QMHP, with appropriate credentials, in obtaining involuntary treatment for patients requiring commitment by completing assessments and participating in court hearings Providing Psychological testing, with approved credentials, when requested Participate in research projects as needed related to advancement of mental health concerns Provide education regarding mental illness services, treatments and disease to both patients and families Will stay up to date on current research and treatment guidelines related to provision of care to the mentally ill Will be encouraged to participate in community outreach and education, working with community partners, such as NAMI, to decrease the stigma of mental illness in the community Other duties as assigned

Located in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina provides a supportive environment for individuals recovering from addiction and alcoholism. We offer a diverse array of therapeutic services, with a focus on individualized care. As a Primary Clinician at Asheville Recovery Center, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of roughly 8 clients at a time. This includes weekly one on one sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning. Clinicians are also responsible for maintaining weekly contact with client’s family members and group facilitation. Asheville Recovery center is a client and family centered organization. We are passionate about helping others achieve freedom from drugs and alcohol and we are hoping you are too!
Core responsibilities/Day to Day activities

Requirements
1. Education – Bachelors level preferred or (related experience in substance abuse field.)
2. Experience - Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience is preferred.
3. Certifications - LCAS, LCAS-A, or CADC (one year experience.)

Program Summary

The Young Adult Program is where 18 to 25-year olds can feel comfortable dealing with the issues that are unique to their stage of life. The Program serves men and women in this age group who are struggling due to mental illness, occupational or educational problems, relationship issues, family conflict, addictions or other influences that interfere with their day-to-day functioning.


Job Summary
Provides direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy. Performs case management services. Provides extensive documentation and case coordination. Oversees day-to-day program operations and staff in the absence of Director of Social Work and Program Director, performs administrative duties as assigned.

Primary Therapists are eligible for a Sign On Bonus Up To $1,500.00, in accordance with program guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Five years of experience working with a behavioral health and/or chemical dependency population.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Masters degree required.
  • Connecticut licensure required.
  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LADC, or Psychologist preferred.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency and keyboarding skills required.
