    The Manager, Commercial Sales is responsible for the planning and tactical execution required to meet and exceed sales objectives regarding data, voice, and video services for Shentel Communications. Reporting to the Enterprise Sales Director, the Sales Manager is a high performance sales team leader who builds, coaches and inspires a team in our growth regions while building internal and external relationships and strategies to reach the team's sales performance goals. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential: Manage a team of Account Managers and/or Account Executives to meet and exceed commercial sales objectives for SMB and Enterprise customers. Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly sales forecasts. Implement and improve processes to effectively manage and support sales objectives from opportunity creation through revenue generation. Train team in solutions selling methodology. Meet and exceed sales objectives for Fiber and Coaxial based services. Work in the field multiple days per week with sales team to close new business Serve as escalation point for both sales and customers. Ability to work closely with supporting corporate functions such as Engineering, Marketing, Finance and Operations. Ability to recruit and develop professional sales team members promptly. Work with various corporate functions for improvement/enhancement of Glo Fiber Business brand at relevant regional trade shows, sponsorships and events. Observes all company safety procedures at all times. Demonstrates and holds employees accountable for stewardship of the brand to include embodiment of Win Together by ensuring appropriate use of the brand (name, logo, company, appearance, and attitude) within their respective team and organization. Qualification Requirements: Education: BS/BA college degree (business, marketing, or related field) preferred. Equivalent industry experience shall be considered. Experience: Five (5) or more years of proven sales experience with complex telecommunication and network services. Experience in rural markets a plus. Two (2) or more years of experience managing sales teams preferred. Equivalent experience shall be considered. Experience interfacing with customer contacts and positioning complex solutions to meet customers' business requirements. Skills Summary: Strong business and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and other Shentel employees. Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient with Salesforce.com; preferably experience with CPQ Tools. Licenses or Certifications: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record. Perform an assortment of tasks to install, provision and maintain the broadband network, including: ADSL, DSLAM, and Mini RAM; ATM switches; Calix, Alcatel, Fujitsu, Juniper, Ethernet service switches, data service routers, TDM service interfaces and Adtran Total Access 5000 systems; VDSL system including: head end, BDTs USAMs and the provisioning of residential gateways, ether sets and modems; and new equipment that may be purchased to expand or enhance the broadband network. 4. Install, provision and maintain subscriber carrier systems, including HF line, repeaters and outside channel units. Install and maintain special circuits including data circuits, T1 facilities, and DS3 facilities. 5. Install, provision and maintain subscriber telephone and broadband service; cross connects; optical network units; station connections (drop, network interface device, ground rod, and wire); demarcation panels (when necessary), inside wire, and customer premise equipment. 6. Perform an assortment of tasks associated with cable splicing including the splicing of plastic and fiber optic cables of all sizes. Test cable, locate underground cables, and repair faults in cable. 7. Perform an assortment of tasks related to bench repair of subscriber carrier channels, payphones, single and multi-line telephones, various types of data equipment, and testequipment. 8. Install, provision and maintain payphones, multi-line telephones, key systems, and hybrid business systems. Install and maintain network and customer premise equipment associated with Centrex, ISDN, or CLASS service. 9. Perform minor preventative maintenance on vehicles assigned to the employee. These tasks include checking and adding oil in the engine, antifreeze/coolant in the engine, water in the battery, windshield washer liquid, and air in the tires. Also refuel vehicle when Warehouse Attendant is not readily available. 10. Perform record keeping tasks associated with daily activities. Completing service order estimate forms, material usage forms, and other plant maintenance specific forms will be required. 11. Maintain telephone and broadband equipment during power outages.
