We are seeking an EEG Technician (EEG Tech), sometimes referred to as an Electroencephalogram Technician, Neurodiagnostic Technician or EEG Tech in our Electrocardiology Department. The EEG Tech will diagnose neurological conditions by preparing patients, conducting EEG tests, and monitoring brain activity. They work closely with physicians to identify abnormalities, ensure patient safety, and support critical care through accurate testing and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Prepare patients for Electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures by explaining the process, taking medical history, and ensuring comfort
Apply electrodes using the 10-20 system and monitor equipment for accurate signal capture
Conduct EEG recordings including routine, sleep-deprived, ICU, and intraoperative monitoring
Identify and document abnormalities such as seizure activity or unusual brain wave patterns
Assist during long-term or emergency monitoring for neurological events or brain death evaluations
Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues
Collaborate with physicians to support diagnoses of epilepsy, brain injuries, tumors, and other medical conditions
Ensure patient safety by monitoring during procedures and responding to seizures or emergencies
Qualifications

Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred.

Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred.

Prior working experience within Supervisory/ Management capacity, specifically with Billing Integrity, Revenue Integrity, and Billing Process, includes managing the billing for all payors, includes managing bridge routines.
Prior experience in implementing clearing houses and preferably rollout of EPIC program in a large hospital setting.
Ability to envision and execute; process and policy changes, change in corporate culture, alignment between enterprise strategy and individual business channel needs.
Proven ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders, hospital leadership and other team members, while maintaining standard of professional business service
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to form collaborative working relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to review weekly, monthly metrics - leading and lagging KPIs and own action plans. Proven ability to make logical correlations between data points to determine if analysis is accurate.

Preferred qualifications:
Proficiency with IT hospital revenue cycle tools like CHC / Relay Assurance (also known as ePremis, now part of Optum), EPIC, Meditech.
Advanced knowledge and management of bridge routine files - writing and modifying, CCI edits, 835, EFT, ERA, and claim error trends across multiple payor base and across states.
Meditech and EPIC: basic navigation of systems as a minimum.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Provide Patient Support - Assist with therapy session preparation, transport patients safely, and observe exercises to report concerns to the therapist
Prepare and Maintain Therapy Areas - Set up and clean treatment spaces, prepare necessary equipment, and follow infection control protocols
Support Administrative Functions - Help with scheduling and documentation and monitor therapy supply inventory for restocking
Collaborate with the Care Team - Communicate with therapists and nurses and assist during group therapy or mobility training sessions
Uphold Safety and Professional Standards - Follow hospital policies, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all patients
