    We are seeking a Public Safety Officer, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Security Officer or Healthcare Security Officer. The Public Safety Officer will perform a range of security duties including electronic surveillance and routine manual patrols to ensure the safety of the facility. The Public Safety Officer will coordinate responses to incidents involving patients, staff, and visitors while enforcing policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Employment Type: Temporary Shifts Available: Days (Some Call Required) Hours: 8-hour or 10-hour options available Location: Harlingen Medical Center - Harlingen, TX Responsibilities ** You must have experience in the Cath Lab or Critical Care area as a RN to move forward in this position. Critical Care RN with experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Room (ER) or Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVIC) are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assess patients, obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, and prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures ( Pre-Procedure Preparation ) Assist cardiologists during procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiological studies, and other cardiac interventions ( Intra-Procedure Assistance ) Monitoring patient post-procedure for complications, provide post-procedure instructions, and ensuring patient stability before discharge or transfer to another unit Operate and troubleshoot complex medical equipment used in the catheterization lab, such as hemodynamic monitors and other diagnostic tools Quickly respond to any emergencies or complications that arise during procedures, such as arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, or bleeding Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure details, and post-procedure outcomes Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac care and catheterization techniques Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
