Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches, engine/generator controls, and excitation systems. Complete quality preventative maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on power generation units, diesel and/or natural gas, or gas engines, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) as scheduled. Communicate with sales, operations, and customers regarding service and service contract coverage, pricing, terms and conditions, and applicable policies. Respond to inquiries regarding new contract obligations and revisions. Accurately submit, promote, and complete general quotes and engineering quotes as needed for the customer base. Adhere to company safety practices and other policies and procedures. Act with integrity and provide outstanding service to customers and coworkers building an environment of teamwork and positivity. Report any violation or non-compliance with company policies and procedures by Prime Power Services employees or other business personnel, including sub-contractors. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, schematics, and procedure manuals. Education and Experience Requirements: High School diploma/GED required. 3+ years working in the power generation field. Excellent communication skills. Must have a driving record showing zero felony convictions and less than three (3) moving violations. Pass a criminal background check and mandatory drug screening. Scope and Authority The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for the correct assembly of modules and machines. If technical problems, breakdowns or issues in relation to supply lead times, quality, or capacity occur, the Team Leader has to be contacted. Programming: Input instructions (code) into CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) to define cutting paths for complex parts. As a Field Service Tech at JBT Marel your most important responsibility is to provide customer support for installed systems and new installations. You will develop the skills to test, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug electro-mechanical equipment and computer systems.
