FUEL OPERATIONS MANAGER AT PRIMEFLIGHT
The Fuel Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of field operations, including leading the operations team, coordinating with airlines, and collaborating with airport authorities. This role ensures the seamless implementation of operational procedures and policies to guarantee the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of aviation fuel services. The Fuel Operations Manager plays a critical role in crisis management, handling emergencies, and disruptions, in close collaboration with senior leadership. The position also focuses on the continuous analysis and improvement of operational processes to increase efficiency and maintain high standards of service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and supervise the daily field operations of the aviation fuel services team, ensuring smooth operations across fuel delivery, refueling, quality control, and storage. Ensure operational procedures are implemented accurately and consistently
* Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, and accountability within the team
* Serve as the primary point of contact between fuel operations and airlines, coordinating delivery schedules, fuel requirements, and responding to operational queries. Liaise with airport authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and coordination of fuel services at the airport
* Lead crisis management efforts in case of fuel-related emergencies or disruptions. Work with senior leadership to develop and implement contingency plans and ensure team readiness for emergency situations, such as fuel spills, fires, or operational delays
* Continuously assess and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high levels of service quality. Implement best practices and identify opportunities for automation or new technologies
* Ensure that all fuel operations meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including FAA, EPA, and NFPA guidelines. Conduct safety audits and ensure team members are trained on emergency procedures and compliance requirements
* Monitor daily fuel operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Provide regular reports on fuel consumption, operational performance, safety incidents, and team productivity
* Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including airline representatives, airport personnel, and other relevant parties. Respond promptly to customer needs and address service concerns or issues
* Assist in managing the budget for fuel operations, ensuring cost-effective practices are in place without compromising safety or quality. Track fuel costs, staffing expenses, and operational efficiencies
* Ensure accurate documentation of fuel transactions, inventory, inspections, and safety compliance reports. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry regulations and ensure operational adherence
* Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
* 18 years of age or older
* Eligible to work in the United States
* 5 years of Leadership/Operational experience
* Prior fuel experience is required
* Project Management experience a plus
* Intermediate/Highly proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Job Description
This role handles varying responsibilities as Aircraft Security Agent and Baggage Handler. In the role of Aircraft Security, you will guard secured areas of the airport, which includes entrances to aircraft. Inquiry to suspicious individuals and detailed observation is required. As our Baggage Handler, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely, efficient, and safe handling of passenger luggage from check-in to aircraft loading and vice versa. You will be involved in loading and unloading baggage from conveyor belts and aircraft, ensuring that luggage is handled with care and sorted accurately according to flight destinations.

11. After concluding the search and loading, close and seal all carts with tamper evident security seals.
12. The air carrier or representative meeting the carts at the aircraft will inspect the seal for signs of tampering prior to breaking it.
13. In the event a seal shows signs of tampering or are discovered broken, the suspect cart must be searched for weapons, explosives, and other dangerous devices prior to loading on aircraft.
14. All seals must be stored in a locked container and protected from unauthorized access.
15. Notify or ensure immediate Law Enforcement Officer and/or Airline Ground Security Coordinator notification when necessary.
16. Ensure safe handling of dangerous or deadly weapons/objects discovered until arrival of the Law Enforcement Officer.
17. Contact Law Enforcement Officer if items of contraband (illegal items) are discovered during the screening process. Maintain control of items until arrival of the L.E.O.
18. Report all Government tests, real weapons, injuries and other major incidents to supervisor immediately.
19. Keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.

14. Assure that all body parts and baggage are inside the cart before proceeding.
15. "EXCUSE THE CART, PLEASE" is the only acceptable warning phrase to be used when approaching a pedestrian in the concourse. Never pass until you are sure they know of your presence.
16. You must always stop before entering and exiting a connecting building.
17. Never leave keys or radio on unattended cart. Lock cart if it will be out of your sight.
18. Charge carts at scheduled intervals.
19. If battery charge indicator is in the RED or shoots onto the RED, stop the cart immediately and contact the coordinator's office.
20. When cart is parked for charging, be sure the charging switch is on and verify that the plug is working.
21. Be aware of the Coordinator's Office signal lights (if applicable)
22. Always stop if a gate agent requests it. If you are on assignment, call another cart driver.
23. Never pass another moving cart. If you need to pass a stopped cart, announce "CART PASSING". The other Cart driver must acknowledge you.
24. Always keep one cart length between you and the cart in front of you at all times. NO TAILGATING.
25. Never leave unaccompanied minors unattended.
26. All cart incidents, regardless of severity, must be reported to the shift supervisor.
