Job Summary:
The Specialist I Procurement will provide essential support to Project teams by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating seamless operations for procurement activities. This role is critical in ensuring timely strategic sourcing, vendor setup, negotiations, bid analysis, purchase orders, subcontract management, and compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Expertise in supply chain management, vendor relationships, and negotiation will be key in maintaining project schedules, controlling costs, and ensuring quality standards are met. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial construction environment.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Setup: Assist with supplier sourcing, qualification, evaluation and re-evaluation processes.
Data Management: Perform data entry for purchase orders (POs), change orders, subcontracts, and related documents.
Record Keeping: Input and maintain accurate data and records in procurement logs, as needed, to ensure transparency and efficiency.
Procurement: Process purchase requisitions through purchase order (PO) and Subcontract (SL) execution in the Company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Viewpoint/pVault).
Expediting: Ensure suppliers meet contract schedule and delivery requirements.
Invoice Processing: Assist with invoice processing and the closeout of ongoing projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve any accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) discrepancies.
Team Support: Provide backup support to the Procurement team during absences, including covering for team members on PTO.
Requirements:
4+ years' experience in a related function within the industrial construction industry.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and services used in the industrial construction industry.
Exposure to Contracts/Subcontracts formation and bid process would be an asset.
Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office Suite.
Proficiency with Viewpoint is preferred.
Proficiency with inventory management preferred.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide technical engineering expertise to a specific project and provide assistance in the preparation of estimates; measure and calculate quantities of work put in place for payment and provide input for the cost accounting system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Assist with technical information for project & construction management to ensure construction work complies with all construction standards, codes and specifications
* Assist with Project Submittals, Submittal Acquisition form Subcontractors, and Review Incoming submittals prior to transmitting to the Owner/Engineer
* Coordinate with Owner and Engineer Representatives during the course of the project
* Allocate cost codes to the appropriate field operations and track/maintain quantities to verify subcontractor /supplier billing
* Track and compile of materials, equipment, and labor for any/all change orders and field orders
* Provide technical assistance with project scheduling; prepare 3-week look ahead schedule and updates for monthly project schedule submissions
* Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports during the course of the project
* Assist project management in all job aspects
* Coordinate with Survey as required to facilitate the construction
* Work with Safety Department to analyze potential job hazards and prepare plan to eliminate risks
* Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project), and construction management tools
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
* Four (4) year engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent combination of training and experience
* Minimum of two (2) years of highway, road, and bridge construction experience
* Working knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment, assigned discipline design, and overall engineering standards is necessary
* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
* Ability to assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of project submittals, including obtaining required documents from subcontractors
* Skilled in assigning and tracking cost codes, verifying subcontractor/supplier billing, and managing project documentation
* Familiarity with change order processes, including tracking materials, labor, and equipment for accurate cost evaluation
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to support all aspects of project management
* Knowledge of safety standards and ability to work with the Safety Department to identify and mitigate job hazards

* Develop Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages and provide technical bid evaluations for all electrical equipment during the procurement process.
* Review and approve vendor-supplied electrical equipment drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Ensure the vendor's drawings/designs are captured in electrical construction drawing packages.
* Support the development and quality checks of electrical construction drawings, including location plans, wiring diagrams and installation details. Coordinate with the project engineering and design teams to develop quality electrical construction drawing packages (Issue for Review, Issue for Construction, etc.).
* Attend Factory inspection (FAT) assignments and field walk downs as required.
* Support project lifecycle from concept through construction.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and instrumentation engineers and designers.
General Requirements:

Primoris Renewable Energy (PRE) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support material management and site inventory operations on renewable energy construction projects. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager, site buyers, construction teams, vendors, owner representatives, and the Denver Purchasing Group to ensure materials are delivered, received, tracked, and available in alignment with the construction schedule.
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining efficient material flow, accurate inventory reporting, and strong communication across multiple disciplines to support safe, on-time project execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of Primoris' Procurement and Material Management processes, serving as the primary liaison between the project site and Procurement teams.
* Coordinate and oversee all domestic and international transportation of materials to the project site, ensuring deliveries align with construction schedules.
* Communicate regularly with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and construction teams regarding delivery schedules and material-related issues.
* Utilize the Procurement system to manage requisitions, purchase orders, purchase contracts, owner-supplied materials, receiving, and reporting.
* Assist in the preparation, processing, and collection of material documentation, including receiving reports, delivery look-ahead, inventory lists, and warranty claims.
* Prepare and distribute daily receiving and inventory reports; maintain and update material trackers daily.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and site teams while representing company values and culture in a professional manner.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
* Willingness and ability to relocate to project sites for the full duration of each assignment (typical project duration: 6-9 months).
* Associate degree in Material Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, material tracking, and auditing processes.
* Prior inventory or logistics experience on industrial or commercial construction projects preferred.
* Experience with inventory or procurement software preferred.
* Knowledge of procurement and material management processes.
* Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information to groups of 10+ people.
* Ability to work 50-60 hours per week on active project sites.
* OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
