Prince George's Community College company history timeline
Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) opened its doors in 1958.
When the college moved to its current location on the Largo campus in 1968 the athletic department expanded to add sports that included at one point baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, golf, softball and men's and women's track and field.
1972 The first of five off-campus learning sites opens at Joint Base Andrews to make classes more accessible and convenient for students.
2007 Doctor Charlene Dukes is the first female to be appointed as the president of Prince George's Community College.
2018 A new Culinary Arts Center is built on the Largo campus and renovations to Lanham Hall are completed.
2020 Doctor Falecia Williams is appointed as the ninth president of Prince George's Community College.
