About This Role:
Under the leadership of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Specialist will:
* Assists in receiving, inspecting, organizing, and storing incoming supplies and warehouse inventory.
* Accurately pulls and packages inmate housing unit supply orders for distribution to various departments within the facility.
* Leads and directs inmate workers assigned to warehouse duties, ensuring they complete the work assigned within the timelines established.
* Receives, verifies, and distributes the weekly inmate commissary orders, fulfilled by the agency's external commissary vendor, to inmates within the housing units in accordance with facility schedules and guidelines.
* Fulfills Indigent inmate supply orders as needed.
* Receives and screens incoming and outgoing packages, including verifying the contents to order documents, and ensuring proper documentation is furnished to support receipts.
* Maintains accurate inventory records and ensure all receipts and issuances are properly accounted for.
* Maintains a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies.
* Monitors inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Contributes ideas for improving warehousing procedures and overall operational efficiency
* Adheres to all correctional facility policies regarding contraband, inmate interaction, and secure storage.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED.
* 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations.
Skills:
* Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, package handling, and inventory processes.
* Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
* Ability to document and complete recordkeeping required to support audits as required.

About This Role: This is an entry-level emergency management position responsible for:
* Assisting in the development, delivery, and management of training and exercise activities including data entry and recordkeeping.
* Assisting in the development, operationalization, and maintenance of all-hazard planning annexes, procedures, checklists, job aids, and operational plans for the Emergency Management program.
* Assisting with the development and maintenance of emergency preparedness outreach materials (both physical and on the county website/social media) and assisting with outreach presentations and events.
* Assisting in the development and maintenance of emergency management systems and technology, including situational awareness or information management software and Multi-Agency Coordination Center systems.
During activations, the incumbent will be expected to fill a role in the County's Multi-Agency Coordination Center.
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or G.E.D and at least 2 years of related experience at any level of government, the private sector, higher education organizations, or non-profit organizations. Part-time work, internships, and related volunteer experience may be prorated.
Preferences:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in emergency management, public administration, public policy, or a closely related field.
* At least one year of experience (paid, volunteer, or intern) preparing for, responding to, or recovering from a natural, technological, or human-caused disaster at a local or state emergency management agency.
* The most qualified candidate will be a self-starter with strong customer service, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
Special Requirements:
* Must be able to perform duties outside of normal business hours and maintain approval to operate a county vehicle.
* Must be able to periodically lift 50 pounds without assistance.
* Must successfully complete the FEMA Professional Development Series within one year of hire.
Work Schedule:
Incumbents will generally work Monday - Friday during normal business hours, with the periodic need to work night or weekend hours in support community planning efforts, outreach presentations, or events and incidents. The nature of the position affords some flexibility for flexible scheduling and occasional telework during non-emergency conditions. In the event of an emergency activation or planned event that requires staffing of an assigned Multi-Agency Coordination Center role, work will be on 12-hour shifts, potentially overnight, and for up to 14 days until incident conditions allow for reduction in staffing levels.
Starting Salary Range: $31.22 - $36.98 / hour
