Before starting Daugherty, Ron worked as a Systems Analyst for McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing), Monsanto and Emerson Electric Company. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas - Jonesboro and did graduate work in applied automation at the University of Missouri - Columbia. In 2012, Ron was presented by the Gateway Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Inspiration Award and currently serves on its board. This award is given to the Saint Louis region’s most active and inspiring leaders and organizations who have made a remarkable difference in the local community through philanthropic involvement. Ron also serves on the board of The Magic House and just finished five years on the board for the United Way of Greater St. Louis. A former Golden Gloves amateur boxing champion, Ron’s hobbies include blues harmonica, equestrian sports, and fencing. In 2017, Ron represented the United States in the Pan American Games hosted in St. Thomas Virgin Islands winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Foil competition.
