Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of the NISPOM and DCSA data systems to support data analytics and threat identification and monitoring
Provide knowledge and expertise in identification of risk to cleared facilities and personnel
Support development of tailored risk mitigation strategies
Execute continuous monitoring to assess effectiveness of security programs at cleared facilities
Perform facility baselining and monitoring as part of a broader risk-based oversight model; to include research/analysis of business operations and key management personnel
Perform security violation processing as a result of reported and unreported security violations
Conduct outreach to targeted cleared facilities to support identification of risk and aid in enhancement of risk mitigation strategies
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years' experience with security-related data systems such as NISS (prior ISFD and eFCL) and DISS
1+ years' experience supporting or executing Facility Security Officer (FSO) duties
1+ years' experience with risk mitigation methodology
1+ years' experience developing risk mitigation strategies
3+ years' experience identifying risk to industrial security and responding to risk in executing the NISPOM
3+ years' experience planning, organizing, monitoring, and coordinating courses of action

The Security Architect leads the design and oversight of enterprise security architecture to protect organizational data, infrastructure, and member information. This role ensures security principles, best practices, controls, and frameworks are embedded into business systems, cloud services, and infrastructure in alignment with regulatory, compliance, and organizational requirements. It provides strategic leadership over data security architecture, including data classification, data protection controls, secure data flows, encryption, tokenization, masking, and access governance across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on role that performs direct engineering activities across cloud and security platforms, including the implementation of cloud-native security controls, secure configuration of AWS and SaaS services, hardening of identity and access models (including role-based access controls (RBAC) and least privilege), and deployment of automated guardrails and security tooling. The position also conducts hands-on testing, validation, and tuning of cloud security services such as Cloud Security Posture Management, Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management, Cloud Workload Protection Platform, logging pipelines, and security detections.
The role also converts best practices into formal security policies and standards. The Security Architect acts as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to IT leadership, providing guidance that balances security, compliance, and operational priorities by understanding problems or opportunities and delivering value-add solutions. This includes advising on the secure design of data repositories, analytics platforms, and integrations to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, lifecycle protection, and appropriate handling of sensitive information across both on-premises and cloud environments.

16. Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation (manual or through an online log file) of all errors of high severity and action taken to correct the error.
17. Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to system standards/ procedures.
18. Maintains the highest levels of networksecurity and data integrity including anti-virus countermeasures.
19. Develops, tests, implements, and periodically updates a disaster recovery plan for the enterprise.
20. Ensures that daily or weekly and incremental or full backups are performed and verified, and rotates media offsite.

22. Provides technical support to end users.
23. Maintains knowledge of network-related emerging technologies and evaluates vendor products for potential use within the agency.

25. Leads the capacity planning process to ensure timely and cost effective advancement of the network.
26. Prepares an annual budget for the development, implementation installation, and termination of network servers and related hardware/software/telecommunications components.
27. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic recording and information systems used by the district.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervises the development, implementation, and maintenance of multi-network multi-user environment.

10. Administers user access to network resources and adds/modifies/deletes user accounts for file/print and dial-in servers.
11. Administers electronic mail gateways, both internal and Internet.
12. Diagnoses and repairs or coordinates repair of network hardware.
13. Monitors performance of servers and telecommunications devices (such as hubs, switches, and routers) and takes appropriate action to tune and optimize such devices to maximize performance and throughput, and minimize downtime.
14. Monitors disk capacity and takes appropriate action to ensure adequate disk space is available to network users, software applications, and attached devices.
15. Checks and responds appropriately to errors logged by the server and/or network devices.
16. Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation (manual or through an online log file) of all errors of high severity and action taken to correct the error.
17. Develops, implements, and ensures adherence to system standards/ procedures.
18. Maintains the highest levels of networksecurity and data integrity including anti-virus countermeasures.
19. Develops, tests, implements, and periodically updates a disaster recovery plan for the enterprise.
20. Ensures that daily or weekly and incremental or full backups are performed and verified, and rotates media offsite.
21. Ensures that clients are able to restore files from backup and/or archive
22. Provides technical support to end users.
23. Maintains knowledge of network-related emerging technologies and evaluates vendor products for potential use within the agency.
24. Coordinates with OTIS and other government agencies to ensure optimal use of the network topology, WAN, and wiring infrastructure.
25. Leads the capacity planning process to ensure timely and cost effective advancement of the network.
26. Prepares an annual budget for the development, implementation installation, and termination of network servers and related hardware/software/telecommunications components.
27. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic recording and information systems used by the district.

Set up and manage security awareness training (SAT) and phishing campaigns, track completion, and generate client-facing reports.
Perform initial triage of SOC alerts, document incidents, and escalate high-severity events
Support SIEM tuning including refining alert thresholds, validating false positives, and configuring log sources under supervision.
Launch vulnerability scans, export reports, and document findings under senior engineer guidance.
Communicate with clients, deliver initial SOC notifications, and present SAT status updates
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
CompTIA Security+ (required) or equivalent entry-level certification
Knowledge of SOC operations, including alerting, incident handling, and escalation
Familiarity with SIEM and EDR tools.
Experience in IT or technical support
Strong foundational knowledge of networks, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles
Excellent communication skills for both internal and client-facing interactions
Experience with phishing simulations and/or awareness training platforms
Must be US citizen (due to some contract requirements)
