Maintenance Technician Job in Peoria, IL
We are expanding and looking to add Maintenance Technicians to our team! We are hiring on all 3 shifts.
Responsibilities Repair equipment within assigned area of responsibility Performs preventative maintenance actions on production equipment including cleaning and/or changing filters and pumps Review designs and understand the operations of development equipment which will become future production equipment Observes, corrects, and reports any issues with production and facility equipment Proactively communicate and implement areas of improvement in equipment operations, safety, and maintenance Assists in the performance of Preventative Maintenance of facility equipment Works safely with chemicals Takes initiative and works independently on solving problems Works closely with Production Teams, responds to spills, breakdowns, and extraction calls Installs equipment as assigned Maintains work area in a clean, neat and orderly manner Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals Complies with all safety practices and procedures; reports all unsafe activities Other related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and relevant training/certification within Skilled trades and Equipment Maintenance Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance/machine repair within a manufacturing operation General knowledge of plumbing and electrical circuits Certified welder is a plus OSHA certifications related to man-lift / scissor lift safety are a plus Strong math and problem-solving skills are a MUST Demonstrated ability to work independently and under flexible shifts Basic use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required Written and conversational fluency in English Physical Requirements Frequent talking, hearing, and visual observation Frequent use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel; finger dexterity must be sufficient to feed yarn through small spaces and tie small knots Regular standing, walking, sitting and reaching; must be able to stand up to 8 hours a day Regular stooping, kneeling, crouching Frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds Occasional climbing, typically on a stepladder You should be proficient in: Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills Hydraulics Experience Shop Math Skills Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
