The Professional Services team delivers a wide range of projects for both clients and business partners. Our Account Principals are the cornerstone of our delivery success, overseeing our most strategic accounts. The Consulting Director owns the professional relationship with our customers, acting as their advocate, trusted adviser and point of escalation for all issues arising from the delivery of the Professional Services. The Account Principal is empowered to make key delivery decisions and works closely with technical resources as well as our Engagement Managers to ensure our customers experience successful outcomes. The role includes aspects of business development, client management, and technical delivery across a broad array of client accounts. The Account Principal has full accountability for the successful delivery of Professional Services projects.

What you'll be doing:Working alongside sales leadership and delivery teams to oversee successful engagements and help identify and pursue new opportunities with existing clients Develop deep professional relationships with clients and act as the single point of contact for client ExecutivesWork with Engagement Managers to plan the delivery of projects, including a budget, delivery resources, and responsibilities Identify, mitigate, or escalate delivery risks and issues Act as the cloud services and technology evangelist, envisioning and inspiring customers throughout their journey Support occasional sales pursuits for new logo customers in specific areas of experience or expertise

Qualifications & Experience:10+ years of consulting/technical delivery experience with 5+ years of client facing responsibilities within a professional services environment Ownership of client relationships at senior management level within the enterprise space Capability to absorb complex technical information, analyze and effectively communicate concepts to a wide-range of audiences Direct experience executing successful business transformation projects with measurable results, technical delivery, team leadership, and senior client relationship management Depth of experience with AWS selling and delivering Technology services background focused on professional services Willingness to travel 50% of the time and more on occasion

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Principal Accountant - Fixed Assets who will be responsible for analyzing, classifying and recording fixed assets (tangible and intangible) in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to certain month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, variance explanations and reporting.
This role will be located at our Hughes facility in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities:
Update and maintain the fixed asset database for asset additions, disposals, transfers and other changes Determine the correct asset classification, depreciation life and proper accounting treatment for fixed assets Monitor project costs accumulated in construction in progress accounts and capitalize the costs, as appropriate, once the related projects have been completed Record depreciation Conduct periodic impairment reviews Assign tag numbers to fixed assets Prepare standard and month end journal entries, ensuring transactions are in accordance with U.S. GAAP as well as internal policies and procedures Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger, independently researching and documenting reconciling items and, if applicable, making any correcting journal entries Prepare cost and accumulated depreciation rollforward schedules Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit inquiries
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field5+ years of related accounting experience including significant exposure to fixed asset/capitalization issues - predominately at large, multi-national public companies CPA - Active
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters' Degree in Accounting or related field2-3 years public accounting, Big Four a plusA successful track record in getting to the right accounting positionA proven ability to be decisive, resolve issues and deliver on commitments and deadlines Superior organization and prioritization skills with multi-tasking abilities Proven self-starter that doesn't need much guidance to get projects done in an excellent manner Superior attention to details Strong Excel skills

Overview:
The Principal Accountant will lead site cost accounting and provide manufacturing support and reporting. Directs the establishment and maintenance of corporate accounting principles, practices and procedures for the maintenance of fiscal records and preparation of financial reports. Develops and maintains planning and budgeting systems. Analyzes and interprets trends and operating results in terms of costs, budgets policies and profit opportunities. Presents findings and makes recommendations to executives. Establishes procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree1-3 years of direct report management.A minimum of 8 years experience in Accounting
