What You Bring • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • 5-8 years of experience in accounting or tax (multi-state tax experience strongly preferred). • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar). • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and U.S. GAAP. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across teams. • Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities * Complete the monthly financial reporting packages, including the preparation and analysis of the balance sheet and income statement with budget variance narratives * Responsible for the accuracy of the General Ledger and entity records * Review and create all journal entries and prepare/post complex adjusting and closing journal entries as necessary to be in compliance with GAAP * Prepare and update fixed asset amortization and depreciation schedules * Keep and update work papers that substantiate monthly reporting and for the annual financial audit and tax returns * Review and post tenant work orders and utility billings * Review and code all invoices in paperless accounting system * Verify and process monthly mortgage and interest payments to lenders * Calculate and process management fees * Monitor cash balances to determine the disbursement of funds and necessity for cash funding * Prepare bank and account reconciliations * Prepare schedules as necessary for cash flow projections and financial analyses * Prepare the annual budget for all entities related to your portfolio * Review lease documentation and ensure that all charges are billed pursuant to the terms * Calculate CAM estimates and complete the CAM Reconciliation process for properties * Monitor and supervise third party financial reporting on parking garages * Create miscellaneous reports as needed by team leaders, property managers, lenders, accountants/auditors, tenants and vendors Qualifications * 2 years of accounting experience, or 1 year in a property accountant role * Accounting experience in commercial real estate, hospitality, or related industries required * Bachelor's degree in Business or related preferred * Strong analytical skills * Strong computer skills in Excel * Effectively communicate, both verbally and in written correspondence * Organize and complete multiple tasks Work Environment Bedrock is an in-person, five-day-a-week workplace. As the Senior Accountant, Inventory and Fixed Assets you will be responsible for inventory accounting for instrumentals held for sale including valuation, proper reporting of COGS and reserves. This position will also be responsible for the accounting for the music rental fleet which is considered as a fixed asset. This role will interface with the sales, operations and warehouse personnel in Piscataway, New Jersey. Accountant (Contractor*) San Mateo, CA (hybrid) *Please note, this is a 12-month temporary position, through our Staffing Partner, DZX. This position will also require onsite work (2 times/week) at our San Mateo location. The Accountant will be a key member of the Finance & Accounting team, responsible for supporting the month-end close process with a strong focus on lease accounting. This role will also include general accounting activities such as accruals, rent cost allocations and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses a deep understanding of accounting principles. The candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams. Responsibilities Support general accounting activities, such as operational expense accruals, cost allocations, and the preparation of accurate account reconciliations. Serve as a trusted business partner by collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights, and addressing inquiries through effective communication and research. Take end-to-end ownership of Lease Accounting related to real estate, data center and other leases, including contract review, application of IFRS 16, month-end close activities in close coordination with offshore teams. Perform detailed analyses of lease-related topics, including asset retirement obligations, tenant improvement allowances, impairment assessments, and income statement and balance sheet fluctuations. Support ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations. Qualifications: The candidate must be self-driven and have a strong understanding of accounting principles, must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related discipline Recent experience with SAP strongly preferred. Visual Lease experience is a plus.
