Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Archaeologist to join its collaborative team in California - San Jose, Sacramento, or San Francisco. This individual will serve a key function in providing services related to the roles of Principal Investigator, Project Manager, and Crew Lead, and will assist the Cultural Resource Practice Director in the development and achievement of practice goals, continual product service and fiscal growth, and geographic expansion. Job Responsibilities
Manage complex projects and assigned staff for successful execution of project components/tasks and ensuring scope and costs documented in project contract are followed correctly and efficiently;

Prepare service products including assessment, evaluation, data recovery and monitoring reports; mitigation plans and training pamphlets; research designs and work plans; and additional products as needed;
Develop and prepare a variety of standard logs and field forms;
Lead tasks associated with the preparation, review and modification of various documents including reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates and research designs, work plans, etc;
Perform and manage tasks within specific budgets and schedules. Track task and project budgets and manage client accounts;
Interact in a professional manner with client and subcontractor representatives in close collaboration with supervisor. Concisely explain services to clients, agency staff and Langan staff in laymen terms;
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the work of staff archaeologists, paleontologists, and architectural historians; as-needed/on-call staff, interns and others who assist in specific assignments;
Review the work product prepared by staff prior to internal management, agency and client submittal;
Coordinate and perform field inspection services, as needed;
Mentor, coach, and train staff. Develop training materials as requested;
Collaborate with company, practice and office team members on project tasks and assignments;
Assist other work groups within the same or different office locations and/or within the same or different disciplines on an as-needed basis;
Participate in cross-discipline training and assist with projects outside one's own discipline;
Remain current on cultural resource standard practices, guidelines, regulations, and best management practices and attend training to expand knowledge and skills; and

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or closely-related field; Graduate degree (M.A. or Ph.D.) a plus;
Register of Professional Archaeologist (RPA) a plus;
6+ years professional experience in Archaeology;
Demonstrated experience preparing archaeological studies, reports, and plans, and successfully designing and leading archaeological fieldwork;
Demonstrated laboratory and technical analysis expertise;
Strong, concise writing, research, and data management skills;
Understanding of and practical experience in regulatory requirements specifically Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and have the ability to clearly communicate federal, state, and local regulatory requirements to clients;
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to concisely explain services in laymen terms.;
Experience in developing, communicating, and promoting services for business development purposes a plus;

Base Salary Range: $82,000 - $104,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.

EBI Consulting is seeking a full-time Archaeologist responsible for completing file reviews/background research, conducting field surveys and fieldwork, authoring reports, and completing Federal Communications Commission Forms 620 and 621, as needed. Satisfaction Surveys:Data from veterans on their satisfaction with VA and non-VA mental health care and experiences of care.
Clinical Templates:Data from national templates such as evidence-based psychotherapies, records of suicide and overdose events, intensity levels for community-based care, and services provided during treatment.
Performance Measures:Facility-level data from Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning measures and other measures within the Mental Health Information System, a collection of over 100 measures characterizing mental health treatment in the VA.
NEPEC Data:Data collected by the Northeastern Program Evaluation Center or other VA program evaluation centers for program monitoring and evaluation purposes.
Examine and analyze data across differences in target conditions, care intensity, medical and mental health comorbidities, demographics, and sex differences.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork.
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record as travel will be required for this role.

Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.

Key Responsibilities
Record (inventory) buildings/structures/landscapes to determine their eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) using the established criteria of evaluation
Assess the effects of planned projects upon NRHP-eligible resources within a project's Area of Potential Effects
Prepare technical compliance reports for submission to the State Historic Preservation Office. Research and prepare historic contexts on various themes
Routinely meet with clients, State Historic Preservation Office and City/local historic preservation staff in the course of required duties
Prepare National Register of Historic Places nominations
Viewshed analyses
Master Planning and NEPA support
Support the archaeologists at HMB by conducting historical research for archaeological projects, including county histories, researching deeds and chain of title, census records, historic maps, and more
Attend networking events to connect with potential clients
Develop marketing materials
Grant writing (private, federal, state)

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Master's Degree in Architectural History, History, Historic Preservation Planning or a closely related discipline
Meets Secretary of Interior's Professional Standards for Architectural History
Minimum 5 years of working experience in architectural history
Thorough understanding of Section 106/110 of the National Historic Preservation Act and it's implementing regulations
Established working relationship with the state Historic Preservation Office/Kentucky Heritage Council a plus
Thorough knowledge of KHC guidelines for fieldwork and reporting a plus
Must meet prequalification requirements with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
Demonstrated knowledge classifying and recording eastern and midwestern residential, commercial, and public buildings
Strong writing skills
Must be able to travel within half a day of Louisville, as needed.

Role description:
Arcadis is seeking entry-level Archaeologists to support environmental planning projects (e.g. linear infrastructure projects) within Ohio and surrounding states. In this role, you will conduct archaeological field work for multiple projects and at all levels of investigation, from site identification to data recovery, and archaeological monitoring. You will work on projects that require shovel testing, pedestrian surveys, excavation, and site documentation. This role is currently a part-time as needed field position.
This position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with the Arcadis cultural resources team. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. However, this position will be a field position, so the successful candidate can expect to work remotely at the project site location, as needed. The ability to travel to various project sites, including overnight travel, will be required (field work expectations are approximately 90 to 100%).
Role accountabilities:
As an Archaeologist, you will apply your technical knowledge to support archaeological services over a range of sectors, including linear utilities, oil and gas, mining, rail and transit, and renewable energies. You will be a key cultural resources team member and work as part of an interdisciplinary environmental team. You will be responsible for conducting archaeological fieldwork.
This will require a working knowledge of GPS systems and the ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, as well as carry supplies weighing up to 40 pounds. This will also require working in the field under a range of conditions (e.g., rugged and unfamiliar terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures).
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in anthropology/archaeology
1-2 years of experience in cultural resources management.
Demonstrated practical field experience within Ohio or surrounding states.

AECOM is seeking (2) Archaeology Technician's (Archaeology Technician II) to join our Cultural Resource team.
This remote opportunity can be based in Phoenix, AZ or Albuquerque, NM and will report to our Phoenix team.
This is a part-time, on-call position meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed basis. Candidates could work on various cultural resource survey, and archaeological monitoring and excavation projects.
The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator, but could include tasks in a laboratory setting under the direction of a laboratory manager.
Field projects will primarily be located in New Mexico and Arizona, but opportunities for work in other states may be available. Candidates will need flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working collaboratively with guidance on how to complete work activities that are unfamiliar.
Conducting cultural resource surveys and archaeological monitoring and excavations.
Documenting archaeological and historical resources; must be able to take accurate field notes and complete forms.
Using digital devices to record field data.
Using a digital camera to photo-document artifacts, features, and sites and keeping an accurate photo log.
Processing artifacts (washing, labeling, and cataloging).
Consulting with a supervisor about unusual problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of an archaeological field school is high desired.
Knowledge of field survey and excavation techniques, ability to process (wash, catalog, and label) recovered archaeological artifacts, properly fill out field and laboratory forms.
Knowledge and understanding of equipment and technology used to collect and record archaeological data, including GPS applications and Microsoft applications.
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to follow specific instructions.
Excellent work ethic and team-player attitude.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with other project staff.
General familiarity with cultural resource management protocols and processes, including compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act.
Some experience with conducting laboratory analysis of both prehistoric and historic material.
