Are you a passionate Consultant who thrives on engaging with customers, implementing software solutions, and applying your knowledge and experience to improve a customer’s business? Vertafore is seeking a Consultant for our Professional Services organization to consult and implement Vertafore’s product Sagitta to enterprise and strategic customers. This includes project planning, educating customers, collaborating on key decisions to drive best practices, business solutions and product adoption, solving business challenges and gaps. The ideal candidate will be energetic, a quick study, results-driven, a self-starter, with a strong collaborative nature, a proven track record as a Consultant who exudes a creative and positive can-do attitude. Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

· Be a subject matter expert with Sagitta, its methodology, and P&C business operations

· Be part of project teams implementing Sagitta and delivering Professional Service

· Manage multiple consulting engagements concurrently with large agencies

· Conduct presentations and educational sessions

· Deliver in-person consultative sessions with customers

· Analyze business operations and methodology to develop best practices

· Recommend solutions for customer pain points, gaps, needs, goals

· Conduct user acceptance testing with customer

· Perform operational assessment post-implementation to drive product adoption, improve business operations, refine best practices, identify new consultative opportunities

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of experience working as a Consultant in the P&C insurance industry

· 3+ years of experience in a Professional Services organization in a customer-facing role

· Experience with Sagitta highly preferred

· Strong knowledge of P&C insurance business practices and independent insurance agency markets

· Strong knowledge of insurance accounting practices

· Broad knowledge of agency management systems and other business applications, content management solutions

· Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels, and ability to effectively handle crucial conversations and manage conflict resolution

· Ability to effectively prioritize workload and tasks to meet deadlines

· Excellent presentation and communications skills, both written and verbal

· Outstanding time management skills

· Ability to be creative and innovative

· Ability to effectively problem solve, react to situations decisively and effectively

· Flexible, easily adaptable to change

Additional Requirements and Details:

· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

  • BS or MS in biology, wetland science, plant ecology or similar field with experience pertaining to a specialized biological training or field.
  • At least 7 years of consulting experience that involves oversight, QA/QC, technical writing, advanced survey design, impact assessment and multi-media permitting.
  • Solid grasp of the key biological or wetland ecology impact assessment and management issues within the public utility sector, as well as a high degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.

Unit 42 is looking for Consultants to work with a single, long-term client across a wide-range of their unique security and regulatory needs. Unit 42 has nine distinct teams working on this engagement, and understands nobody will have all of the skills listed below - but the ability to be versatile and work across multiple teams is highly desirable.


The Role


Unit 42 is looking for someone who can help us help our clients better manage their data risk, exposure, and compliance obligations.


What You'll Do
Investigate mobile applications, websites, browser extensions, and other digital assets Leverage physical and emulated sandboxed environments for analysis Leverage proxy technologies to capture web traffic generated by applications Inspect web traffic logs to identify anomalous or suspicious activity Identify unauthorized exfiltration, handling, or use of end-user data including Personally Identifiable Information ("PII"), created content, credentials, etc Understand and adhere to best practices for operational security ("OPSEC") concepts Edit and write SQL queries or scripts to query APIs Review application source code and artifacts Reverse engineering of applications, tools, etc Leverage formal and informal internal documentation to quickly interpret unknown data behavior Create replicable processing scripts/notebooks, and document steps taken Help develop and refine ongoing data and code review strategies and workflows Regularly and uniformly report findings. Create a narrative to the analysis performed Understand how web requests are formed including POST parameters, HTTP headers, user agents, request parameters, request cookies, etc Query back-end databases using Presto SQL Utilize web logs to identify traffic and request patterns Review and validate external penetration test results to determine severity Actively participate in the development, documentation, and implementation of new processes to expand and mature capabilities for the organization. Continuous involvement in workstream growth and process improvement
Ideal candidate will have 7+ years of following:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent military experience, preferably in a technical or security-related field Knowledge of fundamental computer science concepts Positions or experience with corporate data environments, databases, and/or security experience preferred Analytical problem-solving skills, including how to interpret technical requirements and turn them into operational steps that can scale Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member, in a fast-paced environment.
