This role involves organizing, designing, coordinating, supervising, and implementing strategic planning and related key initiatives, including the Quality Enhancement Plan. The AVP ensures the college aligns its mission, goals, key performance indicators, regular assessments, and departmental unit-level planning, promoting data-informed decision-making at all levels. Responsibilities include ensuring data governance, coordinated institutional reporting and research, and regular assessment of institutional data maturity. The AVP is also responsible for developing and sustaining a culture of data-informed planning, data literacy, and decision-making across the college, and serves as the institutional regional accreditation (SACSOC) liaison, ensuring successful submission of all accreditation reports, reviews, and submissions. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Leads the strategic planning process, including development, implementation, and evaluation of institutional progress. Oversees the Strategic Initiative Office, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and goals. Directs institutional improvement initiatives aligned with the mission, strategic plan, and key performance indicators. Chairs the Institutional Leadership Council and Planning and Effectiveness Committee, fostering broad-based dialogue and awareness of key institutional initiatives directions. Coordinates development and monitoring of key performance indicators in line with the mission, strategic plan, performance-based funding, and external requirements. Provides leadership for strategic initiatives aimed at increasing student access, success, and completion. Creates and executes a 5-year operational planning process defining organizational objectives and tactics. Integrates strategic planning, initiatives, operational planning, institutional effectiveness, and budget development. Leads projects related to institutional evaluation, research, effectiveness, and reporting. Oversees the collection, maintenance, and distribution of institutional data. Collaborates with other departments to connect strategic planning, budgeting, and measurable objectives. Chairs the Data Management and Integrity Committee to ensure data integrity and maturity. Works with the Chief Information Officer on data governance and maturity goals. Provides oversight for data collection and analysis systems supporting unit level review and assessment. Maintains current knowledge of technological developments. Maintains membership and service in relevant local, state, and national organizations. Required Education and Experience Master's degree in Analytical Research or related field required; Doctorate preferred. At least eight (8) years of leadership experience in research, evaluation, planning or higher education administration required. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: * Keep all buildings in a clean and orderly condition. * Sweep, mop or scrub hallways, classrooms, offices, restrooms and stairs. * Empty trash and garbage containers into designated trash bin for the building. * Clean debris from sidewalk and driveway from street to building. * Mow lawn, trim shrubbery, and cultivate flowers, using hand tools and power tools. * Move and/or set up desks, tables, file/storage cabinets, and chairs in building as directed. * Clean restrooms fixtures with proper cleaning solution and disinfectant. * Remove old wax from floor and prepare for new wax as directed or scheduled. * Mix water, detergents, or chemicals to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. * Scrub with appropriate cleaning solution and/or apply wax or other protective coating as required to walls, shelves, tables, sinks, desks etc. * Keep building secure from other persons entering after regular school operating hours. * Be sure all doors to be locked are locked and all windows are closed and locked before leaving each day/night. * Report major building maintenance repair needs to the principal. * Dust and/or wax desks, tables tops, and work surfaces as directed. * Strip floor surfaces of wax or other protective coating and apply new wax or a protective wax. * Operate buffer and other cleaning equipment within common, acceptable, and demonstrated safety procedures. * Keep outside walkways clean of debris and dirt. * Maintain security in school building in accordance with school policy procedures. * Perform minor and routine maintenance through painting, plumbing, and other activities. * Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
