The Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Department is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and integration of critical defense platform systems. We are currently seeking a motivated and driven Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Ground Equipment Design Team. Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, including at least 3 years of hands-on design and development of mechanical equipment (preferably in military or defense environments).
Proven experience spanning concept development, detailed design, transition to production, and sustainment.
Strong background in mechanical design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD design tools, specifically Pro/ENGINEER (ProE) and CREO, including Large Assembly Management.

Supporting project closeout by gathering subcontractor documents, assisting with punch lists, reviewing site conditions, and ensuring accurate turnover packages.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction or a comparable field.
High school diploma required (additional education preferred)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with all team members, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Ownership, and Subcontractors.
Detail‑driven with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years experience as a Project Engineer with a commercial General Contractor.
Experience working on multiple large-scale projects concurrently.
